Advantages: Some funny bits, good acting

Nanny McPhee is a rarety in this day and age! A good, old fashioned family movie! Im 22 years old and watched this with my 5 year old and I think I quite probably enjoyed it more than she did! When this first came out, I was hard pushed to believe it would be any good. It was, after all, a kids film. But it has firmly established itself as a favourite in my house. I never read the Nurse Matilda books, but Emma Thompson has done a great job at writing the screenplay. She also does a great job at playing the lead.
