Mrs Henderson Presents is a film which was my choice as I like Judy Dench. I had heard quite a lot about how good the film was so when I saw it for a bargain price I snapped it up. Judy Dench stars as Mrs Henderson who has recently lost her husband as is finding life is getting boring. Her best friend tells her that she needs to find a hobby. ...he has to overcome is Mrs Henderson's constant interfering. The chemistry between these two characters is what gives the film its spark and its best chuckles, they are complete opposites and annoy each other yet both need each other. ...Judy Dench's portrayal of Mrs Henderson was inspired and she once again she showed her aptitude for comedy, I can only assume that being so funny comes naturally Bob Hoskins played a character so far removed for those I have associated with him in the past I could only be impressed by his portrayal of the impressario Togther and suppported by really fine cast this was a magical experience - a film not to be missed. ...

This is a fantastic film about a lady who looses her husband so takes up a new 'hobby' and purchases a run down theater. It consequently remains the only theatre to stay open throughout the war. This story has a twist to the ending which makes it even more brililaint. It is excellent acting along with the debut appearance of Mr William Young.
