Advantages: Great christmas stories with meaning, fun for the whole family, looks fab in CGI Disadvantages: None for us
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas is a Disney christmas film which was released in 2004. It is the sequel to Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, although it is not essential to have seen the first film as this film holds no relevence to it, other than being a Disney christmas film! I brought my copy of this DVD in the run up to christmas last year and since then have been forced to watch it more than a few times. It is a brilliant christmas film and is ... ...of children too. Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas is a selection of short stories, rather than a film. Each story is about 10 minutes long and the total running time is approximatley 64 minutes. Inbetween stories is a pop up book whos pages turn to reveal a new story, which is also introduced by a narrator. The first story is called Belles on Ice and involves Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. A big ice skating event is taking place which Minnie and Daisy ...

Advantages: Brilliant Computer Animation,New and never before seen stories,Brilliant for all the family Disadvantages: Perhaps some people would be put off by the fact it's computer animated and not so 'traditional'
After watching Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas(which I thoroughly enjoyed),I decided to also buy it's sequel(being a lover of all things Christmas and Disney). It was only when I bought it,I realised it was computer animated... (This was also the first time the Disney characters were seen in 3D animation). 'Oh here we go'...I thought to myself. I usually find that when Disney uses computer animation(apart from Pixar, which is obviously brilliant),it ... ...this was probably going to be. But...I was pleasantly surprised! I actually thought that the computer animation added to it's appeal and made Huey, Dewey and Louie look even cuter than usual! The short 'films' included are: "Belles on Ice" "Christmas: Impossible" "Christmas Maximus" "Donald's Gift" "Mickey's Dog-Gone Christmas" If you are looking for a sweet, family,Christmas 'movie' then I would definitely suggest this as it is just as good,if not ...

Advantages: Brings Christmas back to reality Disadvantages: nothing comes to mind
To be honest, I've never really been a big Mickey Mouse fan, but have enjoyed the antics of Donald Duck and his nephews over the years.
This Dvd However has a lot of appeal and has also changed my opinion and I now enjoy even watching Mickey.
Brought this Dvd for my niece, who is eight, she insisted that we all watch, and every one enjoyed it, from the eight year old, my teenage kids also the four adults that were watching under duress, so all ... ...family entertainment.
The Dvd itself is a series of small adaptations, telling a range of Christmas tales, involving Mickey and Pluto, Mickey is so wrapped up in himself he almost loses Pluto as his loyal friend,
Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck, as the competitive Bell's on ice, allowing competition and jealousy to get in the way of friendship,
Scrooge McDuck, as his name suggests struggling to come to terms with Christmas and it's expense. Huey Louie ...

Advantages: old favourite into the 21st century Disadvantages: Kids will want to watch again and again!
This DVD contains different stories featuring the Christmas holidays and a wide range of well loved Disney characters such as Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Daisy Duck, Huey, Louie and Duey as well as our famous Mickey Mouse. In one of the tales, Mickey nearly looses his friend Pluto through his ill manners, there is the story of "Belles on Ice" featuring Minnie and Daisy and the stories are all fantastic wholesome family value stories. The stories on the ... ...be about - family, friends, sharing and celebrations. I liked it because it reinforced the important messages about the importance of family and friends - especially at Christmas time - and does it in a manner which kids can understand. It is also a DVD suitable for all ages and features stories the whole family can enjoy together. For some reason it seems to be more expensive than other kids films - I bought it online and still paid £15 - these ...

Advantages: The digital animation looks far more visually impressive than the usual drawn cartoons. Disadvantages: It would be very difficult to find any faults.
This film is utterly charming. I paid the maximum purchasing price, which is unusual for me, and it was worth it. Each of the short Christmas tales has a moral which is made in a light-hearted, humerous and engaging way. Nothing heavy handed or dogmatic. My children aged between twelve and four at the time that I bought it last year really enjoyed it and I know we will watch it repeatedly every winter. Although the DVD seems to be aimed at under ... ...is visually spectacular. It left us hoping that Disney would produce something similar every Christmas. We liked the song on the story about Goofy's son and his relationship with his dad. This story may strike a chord with teenagers who feel embarrased by their parents! All in all this is a DVD no household with children should be without. ...
