Oh well! I digress…

Soak on a Rope Review ofMessage In A Bottle (DVD)by
Biggie
Advantages: Disadvantages:
Mark: Message in a Bottle stars Kevin Costner, Robin Wright-Penn, and special guest star Rose McGowan as the P.T. Barnum might-as-well-be-bearded lady. I don't know about you, Jerry, but I'm sending out an S.O.S. to the world!
Jerry: (smiling) Did you say "Massage in a Bottle"? I think that bespeaks a kind of bankrupt morality which is damaging to the spiritual lives of children!

...and I went to see Message in a Bottle at the cinema. We were not to be disappointed by a truly outstanding film.
Kevin Costner, Robin Wright-Penn and Paul Newman are all fantastic in a film where a widower writes a letter to his wife, wraps it in a bottle and throws it out to see. Wright-Penn picks it up off a beach and begins a search for the author.
To the cynic it is quite predictable what happens, but the twists and turns of love never run ...

Advantages: Well acted, well written, excellent story and scenenry Disadvantages: May appeal more to women than men
The guys will probably say this is a girlie movie, but it is so much more than that. It is a collision of two love stories, one from the past and the other, unfolding as we watch. It is poignant, and incredibly well acted. Kevin Costner stars as a widowed boatwright, while Robin Wright Penn is a divorcée with a young son, who works for a big city newspaper. Throw in Robbie Coltrane as her boss, and Paul Newman as the boat-builder's father, and you ...

Tears Review ofMessage In A Bottle (DVD)by
angel1987
I thought this was a sweet and sad film. I was nearly crying but the story was good. Whta it's about is taht a woman is at the beach one day and finds a mesage in a bottle so she reads and tracks down who wrote it. She goes to where he stays and finds him, I find it unlikely. Anyway she then falls madly in love with him but the ending is sad. It's a story for girls that are soppy and like a cute and upsetting love story. ...

This might possibly be more pointless and more boring thanthat waste of space excuse for a film dead poets society. This is another depressingly pointless film that just carry'son and on with no real meaning. This film will just depress you to your wits end and you'll walk out wondering why you just wasted two hours of your life. Such films depress you for no point. They think that they are making a worthwhile psychological film. well it isn't. DON'T ...

The emotional aspects of the story are then completely ruined by fake soppiness and weak acting by the lead actress. She traces the man down and for falls in love with him for no particular reason at all except that he wrote his feelings down and put them into a bottle.
This film is definately not one for the lads and I wouldn't recommend it to the ladies either. It can cause mental anguish ...
