Production Year: 1978 - Action/Adventure - Director: Ralph Bakshi - Original Language: English - Classification: Parental Guidance - Starring:Christopher Guard, William Squire, John Hurt, Annette Crosbie, Anthony Daniels more
Advantages: Will still be enjoyable in 10 years time Disadvantages: Minimal extra features
The story follows on from Tolkein's childrens tale, The Hobbit, and it is all about a brave band of Hobbits (half-lings), a couple of men, an elf a dwarf and a wizard who set out to destroy a magical ring that belongs to a great evil (Sauron).
Not surprisingly, because the ring is magical the evil wants it back and sends forth army after army, and attracts many would be kings to its power in order for them to do its evil deeds and to try to retrieve ...
