Stitch causes endless trouble to the family whilst being hunted down..... and after lots of laughter tears and chaios they live happily ever after!!!!!
Just how a good Disney film should be!
There were only about twenty people watching the preview and i must say i don't think anyone disliked it from the atmosphere throughout the film. There were children crying at parts of the film, which set me off!! ...

Advantages: Great family movie Disadvantages: made by Disney
...truly loved their latest release Lilo and Stitch. Taking a step away from Disney's normal fair of Americanised fairy tales, this is their latest addition to the ever swelling ranks of modern original animated features. Lilo & Stitch tells the tale of a genetically engineered alien who escapes on route to prison and crashes to earth. There he is adopted by lonely orphan Lilo who mistakes him for a dog. Mayhem ensues for Lilo and her sister as Stitch ... ...(Bubbles the social worker). Lilo and Stitch combines gross out comedy, slapstick, action adventure and a healthy dose of emotion to create an entertaining and at times moving story. Some delicate issues are handled with great tact and thankfully the story doesn’t become over sentimental and mushy. Large doses of aliens and fight scenes combined with trade mark Disney songs and a big helping of Elvis conspire to make this a film for Kids of all ages ...

...harbour or even My Girl...maybe Lilo & Stitch was the key to my tears. I have to say, I didn't think it was very true to the trailers I saw of it; they showed the alien annoying and taking the mickey of previous disney characters (no pun intended, honest), which led me to believe that the movie would be one big spoof. This was not the case. It has several funny bits, true, but I think I was expecting more in the way of humour. Not that this was a ... ...Lilo (voiced by Daveigh Chase) is an friendless little girl with no parents and an Elvis obsession, seen as a bit of a freak by the other children; she is looked after by her sister, Nani (Tia Carrere), and together they must deal with the visits of the social worker (a large scary man, voiced by Ving Rhames, who looks like a vicious bouncer and goes by the name "Cobra"). Great Soundtrack - including greats like Elvis Pressley .
Without giving too much away, Stitch is an experimement gone wrong by a mad scientist from another galaxy. He escapes and crashes to earth, more specifically Hawaii.

A bazaar plot, especially for Disney. I was very surprised at the "scary" nature of stich and the characters from the Planet he came from.

...so we sat down to lilo and stitch.
Unlike the usual Disney movie, Lilo and Stitch has seemingly broken the mould, of the Princess formula. 8 year old Lilo and her pet "dog" Stitch are certainly no Prince and Princess. The whole story is charming, as well as hilarious. Like any Disney Film you find some lessons to be learned as well. The visuals of Hawaii are lush and colourful watercolours that are a refreshing change from the computer animation ... ...with several of the characters. Lilo starts out a little sulky, a little disobedient, and a little timid. By the end of the movie, we see a different Lilo.
Stitch, the little devil! starts out nasty, mean and uncontrollable. As he learns the value and importance of family, we see a different Stitch.
Nani and David also emerge from the initial stages from a puppy love type of romance to a full-blown parental affection for both Lilo and Stitch.

Advantages: Keeps the kids entertained; Elvis music Disadvantages: none
I'm sure most people know this is the story of a lonely little girl who befriends a dog who is really an escaped alien and the mischief they get up to.
My two children aged 4 and 7 absolutely love this film. We went to see it when it first came out at the cinema and they wanted it on DVD straight away. The Elvis soundtrack carries on through the film - great if you love Elvis - hell if you don't. My two now know the words to 'Devil in Disguise' ... ...after a telling off and saying 'leave me alone to die' (lovely!!)! The colours and graphics are beautiful and the film has enough humour to leave most grown-ups with the will to live for the time it runs (about 85 mins). The main thread of the story is that family comes first and no one is left behind - being Disney it's a bit sugary but I'd rather my kids were learning something like that than the usual bad-ass attitude messages of other dodgy American ...
