Advantages: Brilliant action, comedy, thrills and story. Disadvantages: Couldn't fault it.
Every Lethal Weapon film is a blast! All of the films are packed with, violence, both fun and serious; they are full with comedy, thrills and even at times, romance. The Lethal Weapons are classic films, which I consider to be the greatest police movies ever made.
When I first started writing reviews for Ciao, I did not want to start on a Lethal Weapon film, as I did not feel I could do the film any justice. This is my ninth review, coming up to ... ...review on the series and Lethal Weapon 3!!
(Like I observed someone else had added on a review, if you do not wish do read about some plot points in the films, do not go on reading!!). There are four Lethal Weapon movies, none of which are given any additional titles, just ‘Lethal Weapon 1,2,3 and 4’. Depending on your taste you will have different favourites, my personnel favourite from the quadrilogy is Lethal Weapon 2 – this is simply because ...

Advantages: Recreation of a winning formula Disadvantages: Doesn't match the quality of the first 2 films
...a three year gap, the Lethal Weapon team returned in 1992 to make the third installment of the film series. With Riggs and Murtaugh immensely popular characters, public demand forced this film's creation, written again by creator Shane Black. Richard Donner directs again, and the acting duo of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are rejoined by hyperactive Joe Pesci and new addition Rene Russo.
The Plot
One week away from his retirement, detective Murtaugh ... ...While I love the Lethal Weapon series, I felt this third film fell by the wayside somewhat. There was less conviction as the first two films, and they almost lost their ground here with too much concentration on the personal side of the characters and not enough focus on the main plot. The impending retirement of Murtaugh is a good adjustment to the plot basics. The film did need something a little different to the other two, and this combines well ...

So you saw Lethal Weapon one and two but missed the third. Well you don’t know what you are missing. The latest instalment Lethal Weapon 4 is the best in the series but this certainly comes a close second. It manages to retain humour, action and a great plot.
Once again Detective Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) provide a roller coaster ride that won’t disappoint. This time they are on the trail of criminals ... ...plot enables Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) to retain his role from the second movie. He oozes with his usual hilarious charisma. Another addition to the crew is Lorna Cole (Rene Russo) an internal affairs detective who gives a helping hand with the case. It also provides a love interest for Riggs. It is a great plot that manages to cram in a lot of action. The acting is once again stunning. Gibson has made Riggs calm down slightly from the previous instalments ...

Advantages: great action/thriller and a good laugh Disadvantages: none
...in the series of the Lethal Weapon saga…
The story line is again well written and the acting is as good as anyone could expect, with the right amount of humour injected into some of the scenes to make the viewing even more pleasurable.
The brilliantly funny Joe Pesci plays the character of Leo Getz to perfection…with his catch phrase 'what ever you want Leo Getz'…. first class indeed. It does seem that the writers are trying to add more humour ... ...doing a fine job in the process with each movie being more humorous than its predecessor.
There is plenty of action, thrills, car chases, and stunts, put together with humour and that touch of romance… everything a good movie needs…
Would I recommend this…?
Yes I certainly would.
It is another Gibson/Glover masterpiece and will entertain you throughout, making you laugh in parts and gasp in others.
Again, adding Joe Pesci into the equation gives ...

Advantages: Danny Glover and Mel Gibson lead the film well Disadvantages: To similar to the previous two
If a film has been good and a sequel is released I will go and watch it but if they bring out a third I don't normally bother. I gave this film the benefit of the dbout and watched it as the prvious two were so good and I'm glad I did because although the film has the same sort of plot its still entertaining. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are still there and the chemistry between them is still there. The film contains lots of wit and lots of great ... ...is about a bent cop selling off weapons, not a bad plot but not exactly original. Another problem is that they focus a little to much on the comedy in this one, so the plot looses its shape. The film does have lots of good points but if you have seen the previous ones you may find it a little to similar. But if you loved the previous two you'll probably still enjoy this just don't expect anything special. ...

...find him. Lethal Weapon 3 is again full of action, stunts, and laughter that cannot be missed. Rene Russo’s role of the Internal Affairs Officer attracts Riggs and the pair become intimately involved, they turn into a team that likes to kick-ass.
Unfortunately, Murtaugh’s family is looking forward to his retirement, but after all this action.. doesn’t want to leave. ...

Advantages: even better than the other 2 Disadvantages: NONE
In this film, Roger Murtaugh is only eight days away from retirement and his partner Martin Riggs once again manages to get them both into hot water with the LAPD and the bad guys, who this time are Jack Travis and a gang selling armor-piercing bullets. Joe Pesci returns as the fast-talking squeek. A new addition to the cast is Rene Russo as Lorna Cole, a sergeant from internal affairs sent to investigate Riggs and Murtaugh, but who ends up falling ... ...3 main characters:
Mel Gibson ... Martin Riggs
Danny Glover ... Roger Murtaugh
Joe Pesci ... Leo Getz In spite of the of losing the great naked chicks of the last two films this movie still manages to kick ass. Theres great action in this movie as usual and some funny stuff like the others. Plus like the first two this one really has an ..exposive..begining..heh heh. This movie has great action and a great story..no exploding toilet but still ...

Advantages: Good actors Disadvantages: none as i can see
Once again we get to meet the cops and the lil annoying caracter played by Joe Pesci. First off i would like to say that a movie with such good actors cant go wrong. And a good thing is the fact that they let the caracters grow older. Noone wants to see Mel Gibson play a youngster all his life. In this movie they let him grow older and calm down a bit. I love the comedy in these movies and this one was no different. They are greate together and the ...

Advantages: Changed perspective, final shoot-out Disadvantages: Little slow in places
Whilst the first two films concentrated on the pain in Gibson’s characters life, this outing deals with Glover’s anguish. After killing one of his son’s friends in a gangland shoot out both Murtaugh and Riggs investigate the availability of confiscated weapons and armour piercing rounds on the street.
As there is a dirty cop involved the IA (Internal Affairs) Department is called in, in the shape of Rene Russo. She can match Gibson punch for punchline ...

Advantages: back with a bang!gibson and glover are still lethal Disadvantages: bit too jokey compared to original
mel gibson and danny glover return with a bang literally for third in series. The explosive demolition of the office block at start of movie is funny and exciting.whilst first two movies were little bit dark in parts this has a lighter jokey feel with the action mixing well with some funny laughs usually involing joe pesci.
gibson and glovers doubleact works well with the two cops bickering, fighting but ulitlamately coming through as the unbeatable ...
