I haven't fully explored the DVD - I was more interested in watching the film after reading all thirteen books!! I loved the books but watching the film I could see how much they had cut out of the story. It would have been good if they did a film for each book, like the Harry Potter Series, as then the books wouldn't be merged into any old order - as they have done. As they only used the first three books in this series, I hope there will be a equel ...

I had read the books before going to see this film so had a small idea on how the film would appear on the big screen. I had never read any of the 'A Series of Unfortunate' events books before I had watched this film, and I positively adored this film. Jim Carrey was excellent as the evil Count Olaf, yet brought humour to the role which made Count Olaf even more conniving. Infact, the movie had a good range of stars in roles.
