...a good job of playing Lara Croft. Not only does she look remarkably like her but her acting meant that she was like her in many other ways. There are no characters that really stand out in the film other than Lara Croft. This is a pretty major drawback. While this is obviously a big budget film and designed as a summer blockbuster it doe not deliver. Again a film with great potential falls foul of over-hyping and a studio that thinks they can sell the film on the name. The sad thing is they can and will do. Its not that is a bad film, I've seen much worse, its just not a good film - never mind great. Yes, its visually stunning. Great special effects and sets. I was in Cambodia for the filming ...
...memories of a great holiday. This was one reason to see it but it could have been much more. The acting wasn't bad given the cheezy script but the story was far to much like the game. That is, it was as if they had designed the game first and then wrote the film around a game plot. The suspension of disbelief works with a game but not with a film. There were also far to many scenes that were stolen from other films - checkout the "Fugitive" ...

...actual story line was about lara croft (angelina jolie) on a mission to collect a monument and get to a temple when it was completed when she had both parts she would be able to back in time to search for her missing father. but if lara was to fail then she'll never see her father again because this monument can only be activated ever 5,000 years. I was quite disappointed bacause it wasn't as good as i expected it to be. never the less i still enjoyed ...

...and conquer the world. Lara has to stop them. The film follows Lara's movements through the deepest cavern, the darkest tomb, the eeriest jungle and the freshest shower. There are definetly moments in the film where the girls might find it distasteful but being a guy, dang Angelina Jolie is hot! It's got a good cast and the storyline has a good hook to pull in the audience. Yet again there are lots of guns, gizmos and gadgets and one remarkabley ...
...thats a tad unrealistic, Lara wearing a light shirt and trousers out in the artic but other than that its a great film and you should all definetly go and see it, be it with you girl/boy friend or just with a group of mates. PS: Lads, if you do go and see it, watch out for the 2nd shower scene, its not as one might expect! ...

Her farther who got killed a few years back was also a adventurer just like she was so she takes after him. He left her a note telling who what she needs to do to stop the bad guys from getting this time figure that can change the time for every one. A long time ago this figure of a pyrimid got broken in two and put at the opposite ends of the earth ...
...So its a fight between lara and the bad guys to see who will manage to find these sacred parts and to change the time. I will let you guys watch it to see what happens as i dont want to give it all away. But i would recomend that you should go and see this movie as i think that you amy enjoy it as i certainly did it was class! ...

I have been to see Lara Croft: Tomb Raider twice, and my views of it changed. The first time I thought what a great accent Angelina Jolie put on, and how stunning all the effects were. The second time I started thinking how the plot was a good idea, but not played out very well. The cast are well picked. I must say that the villain was far to smarmy, even for an 'Illuminati' (person of the Light). There is of course the 'comedy' character, who is ...
...robots. The butler is ever trying to turn Lady Croft into a Lady, not the Tom-Boy, adventuress that she is. The effects, as i said were very good, with Lara's training robot, which she uses (after shooting it to pieces) as a boombox. There are also the statues that come alive in the temple where the rare Jasmin grows. Overall, not a waste of money, unless you want a very intense story line. I hope that you enjoy it as i did, but, don't view it ...

I'll admit that I probably wouldn't have gone to see this film unless I had been asked along by some friends, but I'm quite glad I did, as it's nowhere near as bad as you might expect for a film based on a game. In fact, I thought it was really quite good. I'd be lying if I said that my very favourite part of the film was Angelina Jolie running around in tight clothing. Also making an appearance is Chris Barrie, playing the Arnold Rimmer-esque butler ...
