Tomb Raider Chronicled

Advantages: Angelina is wonderful; lots of action; gorgeous dogs
Disadvantages: Weak plot; choreographed fighting scenes

...of pixels of the character, Lara Croft. If you want to know more about Lara’s pixel arrangement, especially in the chest area, read on. I was prepared to sit through this film firstly to please my son and secondly to see Chris Barrie (Rimmer in Red Dwarf, Mr Brittas in The Brittas Empire, several puppets in Spitting Image). I was also prepared to be disappointed that he wasn’t in the film enough, which he wasn’t. Why oh why didn’t ...
...as Lara Croft is wonderful. An American actress successfully playing a British character yet again (Bridget Jones, etc.). Angelina appeared to come from nowhere but her list of film credits is long. She has a wonderful, exotic beauty but apparently she isn’t overly pleased with her bottom. She requested a double to play the shots that show her bottom. Glad I’m not the only one who would like a butt-double. She is quite a unique person. ...

Angelina needs some support

Advantages: Angelina Jolie - performance and looks
Disadvantages: Weak plot and cast in general.

...game followed archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft as she searched for mysterious artefacts around the world. It was the closest we had to a new Indiana Jones and the game played exceptionally well. However it was the lead character that was to eventually become bigger than the game created for her. Lara Croft became an overnight sensation, her combination of amazing moves, great determination, sultry British accent and those voluptuous curves ...
...later Lara was brought to life by model Nell McAndrew, she was used by creators Eidos to promote the new Tomb Raider games, and at the time she was touted to play Lara in the film. However after several other models played Lara, the filmmakers decided to go for a bona fide actress for the part. Allegedly, they looked at several British actresses including Liz Hurley, but eventually settled on American Angelina Jolie. And so the film went into production, ...

Indiana Jones in a D-Cup

Advantages: Action-packed, great special effects, female lead for a change
Disadvantages: Very cliched and just a tad predictable

...once-in-5000-years total solar eclipse, adventuress Lara Croft (the inimitable Ms Jolie of Hackers fame) happens upon a legacy from her long-lost archaeologist father, Lord Croft (played by Angelina’s real life Dad, Jon Voight – Pearl Harbour) in the shape of a mysterious, ancient and obviously valuable clock. Not knowing quite what to make of this relic, Lara takes it to an auctioneer friend of her father’s for evaluation. Unfortunately ...

Can Lara find the two pieces of the mystic triangle (hidden in opposite ends of the earth), complete the ‘key’ and stop Time from landing in the hands of the Illuminati all before the solar eclipse (now just four days away...)? JOLIES JIGGLING JUGS JUST NOT ENOUGH

Advantages: Angelina Jolie perfectly cast as Lara Croft
Disadvantages: ending just fizzles out, supporting cast have no support

...casting of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft seemed to be – and it was – a masterstroke. Plus, I must confess that the thought of her jiggling jugs bouncing about inside skimpy outfits was quite a pleasurable thing to long forward to as well. BUT - and I am not referring to Ms Jolie’s tempting rear end either – this film completely misses the mark. Firstly, I must confess to knowing nothing about the Computer game that this film ...
...any other characters apart from Lara Croft. But then I never even knew she was LADY Lara Croft either. So I came to the film as a bit of a virgin, so to speak. I assumed that it would be a little like a cross between ‘The Mummy’ and ‘Indiana Jones’ with Lara being played as a female ‘Indy’ or ‘Rick’. That assumption was correct and she plays – as well as looks – the part excellently. Angelina ...

...the cast of Neighbours and Lara Croft. As our dates progressed and I became more familiar to her, Miss. Croft agreed to be my companion on many a night, with nothing but a few cans, a kebab and a energetically waggled joystick for company. I have since put away such childish things and enjoy a more mature and businesslike outlook, well, other than occasionally waggling my joystick. When I heard that the film was to be released, I experienced the ...
...hear those grunting noises from Lara that we have grown to love? Is there any other film as bad as Super Mario Brothers? Ok, I mentioned that one twice. I was pleasantly surprised. The film manages to keep several cross-sections of society happy at once. There are mindblowing physical sequences for the action junkies, a plot (albeit a little far-fetched) for those who want more than just action and lastly, there is larger-than-life Lara. She runs, ...

The breasts that ate Hollywood

...of the tombs which Lady Lara Croft so gleefully raids. Okay, chest references over, it's safe to come out of the wardrobe... Most of the write ups I've seen of 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider' have slated it as dire fare, with little to commend it. Now, sure it's pretty damn escapist stuff in the old fashioned sense of the genre, but unbelievably (whisper, who dares) the long awaited cinema version of the Eidos video game is actually QUITE GOOD. In fact, the only dubious thing about the whole piece is the contribution ...

LARA CROFT TOMBRAIDER

Advantages: Good action shots, Angelina Jolie
Disadvantages: Poor Story

Lara Croft has made the transfer from computer generated heart throb in the tomb raider games series to a star on the big screen in the form of Angelina Jolie in the smash film of the same name – ‘Tomb Raider’. The film starts with a bang, seeing our heroine Lara face to face with a monster robot in an ancient ruin fighting for her life, guns blazing and some very nice moves. However it is all a mock, mere practice and relaxation ...
...The real plot is Lara Croft is the daughter of the famous explorer Lord Croft, (Jon Voight) who was tragically lost or missing from one of his trips. Lara, (Angelina Jolie) has inherited her fathers’ sense of action and adventure herself, and finds her biggest challenge yet as she is out to protect the world from evil as the planets align something very, very bad could happen. On the anniversary of her father being lost Lara discovers a secret ...

A busty chick with a tendency to shoot from the hip taking on the masses to save the world…where have I heard this before? Nice Jolie's, shame about the plot

Advantages: Nice Jolie's, a few good action sequences, NIN are on the soundtrack
Disadvantages: The rest of the film

...* Plot Synopsis * Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) discovers a clock in a hidden room in her English mansion, by smashing down a wall. She then discovers another clock inside the previous clock, by smashing up the previous clock. Subtle girl eh? Anyway, this clock turns out to be a key which will allow the owner to gain access to half a magic triangle. If the triangle is put together it will give the owner the power to control time, although the how ...
...oh yeah – one more bit, Richard Croft (Jon Voight – Jolie’s dad) plays Lara’s father who is missing, presumed dead and has a bit of murky past. * The Acting * Is pretty bad really. Jolie alternates between talking in a flat voice and pouting in sunglasses/a fast car/a motorbike. Chris Barrie plays the butler but because of all his comedy roles in the past, you just can’t take him seriously in this role – especially ...

Lara Croft, the star of the show, is played by Angelina Jolie who you might have seen in "Girl Interrupted" with Winona Ryder, or "Gone in 60 seconds" with Nicholas Cage, to name but a couple. The Action: ---------- Angelina, did almost all of her stunts and built a physique for herself which most girls would die for. ...starts Ericsson proudly say that Lara Croft uses their little device, the ironic thing is though that her phone breaks during the film, and she only uses the Land Rover for a few minutes before embarking on foot. This film does indeed have product placement and while not discreet it is not afraid to take the micky out of them. However I digress. You want to know about the film not about all the products it promotes. In case you don’t know (but ...

...that. Angelina Jolie plays Lara Croft, the incredibly wealthy orphaned Daughter off an eminent archaeologist who everyone in the film seemed to have met at some point or another. She lives in a huge mansion, bungee jumping in the atrium and going tomb raiding for fun. Living with her is Bryce, a bit of a techie scruffbag. We get a bit of the Clangers, which I watched for a few seconds instead of the film. More of the Clangers would have improved this film no end. If you like breasts, ...

When pixels become flesh...

Advantages: Lara with true flesh. Don't have to "finish the game" to see how the story ends.
Disadvantages: Lara's already existing biography has not been kept!

Who has never heard about Lara Croft, the virtual character of the Tomb Raider games (already 5 have been released). Since her first appearance in 1995, Lara's fame kept growing so that she came back for 4 other adventures, with an always improved...shape (i'm indeed speaking about the number of polygons!:)). Lara became very quickly much more than a simple video game character; except from her virtual adventures, the young lady also has a life. ...
...i'm telling you quickly, Lara was born on Valentine day 1967 in a rich English family and was intended to become a " member of the high society ". But during a ski trip in Tibet, the plane crashed leaving Lara as the only survivor. Her miraculous survival revealed her her taste for action and adventure. Lara decided to become an archaeologist, which was apparently too much for her parents who chose to disinherit her. Some books about her adventures ...
