...to watch the DVD of Kung Fu Panda with a few friends. It was a film that I hadn't seen before, even though I liked the look of it when I saw trailers for it when it was out at the cinema, so I was quite excited to watch it. Also, the fact that it was made by Dreamworks also gave me high hopes for this film, as they brought us the fantastic Shrek trilogy as well as Chicken Run and other animated classics, although I would say that they still fall ...
...Fortunately, Kung Fu Panda was a film which lived up to my expectations, and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ...I always meant to see Kung Fu Panda in the cinema but never made it so a few days ago we watched it on DVD. Like all animated films the animation itself is superb, very well rendered and produced so the success comes down to the story line and characters and in this case both are great. Po (the Panda) voiced by Jack Black dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master in the temple high above his home, however this seems unlikely as he is a little overweight ...
...panda that has never practiced kung fu can defeat the mighty Tai Lung. Slowly they accept that fact selected Po and accept him, help train him and support him. Along the way there are too many funny moments and superb one liners to mention but there are also some touching moments to give the film a well rounded feel.
