Advantages: emotional, genuine, believable characters Disadvantages: plot was sometimes predictable and story dragged on, not really a comedy

# The Real Kinky Boots Factory
# Deleted Scenes
# Journey Of A Brogue
I have to confess I didn't listen to the audio commentary as I don't like them, but I did look at the other sections so I'll give you my view on those.
# The Real Kinky Boots Factory

This was interesting as it showed the actors' views on shoe making ... ...anecdote detailing her problems was particularly amusing. It also helped to create a link between real life and the film, which added to its plausibility and interest.
# Deleted Scenes
As I always say, they are deleted for a reason! Maybe 4 or 5 different scenes removed from the film either because they didn't fit, or were too crazy, I can only assume. The final deleted scene is an alternative ending, and it might have been better to label it as ...

...minute featurette entitled 'The Real Kinky Boot Factory' about the documentary that inspired the makers to turn the story into a film, and the training the actors had in order to be able to operate the machinery. There is a short montage to music entitled 'Journey ...

Advantages: harmless feelgood movie Disadvantages: Could have researched trannies much deeper
The film looks nice and the basic plot is OK. It's based on a true story about a boot & shoes factory that is on the verge of going under but is saved from the axe by starting to produce footwear for crossdressers, we then follow how that change effects those who work there. I'm sure the story was vigorously brutalized to have maximum impact on the viewers at the cinema. Non TV's (transvestites) and people who don't know any TV's are going to leave ... ...Lola's definition of TV (they're nothing like Brezhnev in a dress darling, get your research right) and thinking more drag queen. Lola can't seem to decide if she's a TV or a drag queen. Most drag queens are gay men pastiching women. Most TV's are straight men who want to wear womens clothes for pleasure, comfort or excitement. Simple as that. I have no idea where they filmed "The Angel Bar", but it looked very much like Madame Jo Jo's in Soho. If ...
