Advantages: A well put together, British movie Disadvantages: Maybe tries to be too shocking
...before. When I first discovered Kidulthood it was being advertised as being on the cinema with short flashes of advertisements here and there, obviously because of the budget many small British films see themselves on. For what I can remember as being the first time I have ever seen a film that caters to the origins of urban/chav life in London, it was definitly going to be a talking point in the group of friends I carry myself with. Checking the ...

Advantages: A shocking, but supurb film with a strong message Disadvantages: Strong language and other bad morals could be found offensive
Before adulthood comes kidulthood. The time when you are not an adult, yet you are far from being an innocent child. This is what this film is all about, a day in the lives of a selection of 'Kidults' from a London school, and how this day changes all of their lives.
I came across this song probably through the soundtrack - I think I had heard of the film before, but it was only when looking for some of my favourite musical artists and finding ...

Advantages: Well developed performances Disadvantages: I never saw this sort of life when I lived in similar areas of London, so wonder why its regarded as realistic
Kidulthood was hyped as a true view of the life of a teenager in London in the early 2000's. If this is the case I have to ask why so many people live in London, it's a view of London I'm sure to some extent exists but a true view or realistic which was the other word used? Maybe if you're a scumbag, and your family are total scum then yes true view and realistic might be appropriate wording. But lets not get off on the wrong foot here, Kidulthood ...

Advantages: A harrowing depiction of real life in London Disadvantages: n/a
Kidulthood tells the story of a group of teenagers in West London, their lives at school and at home and the trials that they face every day.
The film centres on a potentially sad day in the teenagers lives when they are given the day off from school due to a bullied classmate's suicide. I say potentially only due to the fact that some of the kids seem more happy to have the day off than sad for the loss of one of their own.
Now, what to do ...

Advantages: Brilliant London Based Film Disadvantages: None it was really good
...do, when on BBC Three Kidulthood was due to come on, well I had to give it a watch just to see if it was as good as people say it is…well it was brilliant, a well set out film with subjects at matter with teenagers. The film was based in London and around London teenagers!! Of course you have the cockney accents, lots of slang terms etc…bitchiness, violence, boys being boys, stealing, underage sex, drugs etc... It was actually released in 2006, and ...

Advantages: truthful Disadvantages: more characters
Before adult hood comes kidulthood,This movie is about a group of trouble 15year olds growing up in west London.
It is a very interesting movie because it can be taken really offensively because of some inappropriate scenes and dirty foul mouthed kids also the dirty scenes are really disgusting because they can show what kids do these days for drugs , fame and money. This movie could be taken offense by many parents and even teenagers, But the truth ...

Advantages: A VERY strong film! Disadvantages: N/a
...have never been teenagers. What Kidulthood does is take all the violence, sex and intoxication experienced in a teenage year and condense it into a single day, because that's far more marketable than a film about eight kids spending four hours sitting on the swings wondering what to do."
"as potent as a shot of vodka before breakfast - a harrowing, uncompromisingly bleak but thoughtful look at the anguish of being young and poor in Britain."

i watched this film in the cinema when it was released, i wouldnt recomend this movie to anybody that is against violence and teenage gangs, knife and gun crimes and bad language.
this was a real eye opener, it made me realise that guns and knifes dont make you look big in front of your friends, they just cause huge amounts of assults and even teen murders.!!!

Advantages: An excellent portrait of what London Teens have to go through Disadvantages: Strong language and violence
For anybody who wonders what London's teens, or kidults, have to go through in the modern day then this movie will serve as an excellent illustration.
The story starts when a bullied school girl commits suicide and her classmates get given a compassionate day off - what follows is a day of violence, guns, knives and trying to survive.
There are 5 or 6 main characters with many more supporting and all the roles are acted superbly, especially ...

Advantages: great character performances Disadvantages: script could have been better..
Kidulthood is a film that follows the day of a group of teenagers that get the day off for as grievance class-mates suicide. The acting in the film is superb and the best i've seen for actors under 18. The plot is very good and the characters wil make you laugh from start to finish. I think that Aml Ameen (Trife) should recieve an award for his performance in the film as it is absolutely outstanding, and the director, Noel Clarke, should also as it ...
