Eddie G just has to be about the most fabulous villain of all time, all snarls and curled lips - even when he plays it straight [Double Indemnity] he is still magnificent.

Advantages: screen legends at or close to the top of their game Disadvantages: basically one location - adapted theatre play
Key Largo is one of Bogart's key films and marks another outing with his off-screen partner Lauren Bacall. He typically plays the reluctant hero and while he delivers a good performance, the true strength of the film, like so many others of this era, is in the ensemble playing. Bacall proves a good foil though she is less of a temptress than in the Big Sleep.
