==Plot==
Kevin Patterson (Harry Enfield) and his best friend Perry (Kathy Burke) are two teenagers going through the ‘awkward’ phase of puberty. Being budding DJs , as well as desperate to experience the fairer sex, the friends decide that a holiday is needed, and where better to get sun, sea and ... ...to improve, they don’t want Kevin to go full stop. This does not stop Kevin and Perry though and despite being ridiculed by their peers (for a number of different reasons). This makes them try even harder to think of a way to get to their sunny paradise. Whilst pondering their next move an unexpected series of events sees Kevin (through his hormones and bodily functions) doing a good deed for his local neighbourhood. This selfless act is praised ...

Kevin and Perry first appeared on our TV's in the late 90's on the comedy sketch show Harry Enfield and chums. Kevin, played by Harry Enfield, was a stereotypical teenager who hated his parents and everything they stood for. ...humour. But when I saw Kevin and Perry at the cinema I laughed nearly all the way through. A lot of people slated this film, saying an extension of Harry Enfield's "Kevin the teenager" character was taking the joke too far. I disagree! So much that I bought the DVD and the CD of the soundtrack, which for me, was one of the highlights of the film. But more about that later.
The story is about Kevin and his best mate Perry (played excellently by Kathy ... ...The mannerisms and attitiude of Kevin and Perry are so true to life of some teenage lads that you wonder where they did their research! I'm sure it was in Birmingham nightclubs!
So the film follows Kevin and Perry in their adventures in the island for sexy young clubbers, as they meet some "lovely ladies" and try to impress them, whilst trying to convince Eyeball Paul to listen to their mixes.
Kevin's parents are always there in the background ...

I first saw the film KEVIN AND PERRY GO LARGE at the cinema shortly after its release, being a fan of both Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke, and having enjoyed countless KEVIN AND PERRY episodes on 'Harry Enfield's Television Programme.' It is definitely worth watching for anyone who is a fan of either artist, and/or older teenagers who would probably relate to the characters and the events that happen in the film!
The film itself tells the story of ... ...On arrival in Ibiza Kevin and Perry soon spot the Girls of Their Dreams, Candice and Gemma, and also 'befrien' superstar DJ Eyeball Paul (without a doubt, the best character in the movie, superbly played by Rhys Ifans) but while they are trying to act cool and impress their new aquaintances, Mr and Mrs Patterson ceaselessly embarrass Kevin by snogging in public, acting 'sad' and generally just being themselves. ...dreamt up over the years. Kevin The Teenager seems to be the one that has captured the imagination of the populace most strongly. Capably supported by his best friend Perry, Kevin gets himself into all sorts of scrapes and behaves in a suitably obnoxious fashion, spitting venom and insults at all those who come into contact with him. Perhaps the most bizarre element of the whole Kevin phenomenon is that his male sidekick, Perry, is actually played ... ...story came in 1999 when Kevin and Perry went big time, and the movie Kevin and Perry Go Large was released to an almost unsuspecting world. But was there enough novelty to go round - we'd been used to seeing them in ten minute sketches - an hour and a half was surely too much? Yes - it probably was.
There isn't that much of a plot to the film. Kevin and Perry have put together a track called "All I Wanna' Do is Do It" and the pair dream of hitting ...

...If you haven't seen Kevin before then where have you been? The character of Kevin was created by comedian Harry Enfield and he is the 'typical' teenage child, bolshy, rude, arrogant, argumentative and with a great big chip on his shoulder. I don't wish to spoil the enjoyment of those who have not yet seen this film so I will do my best to give you sufficient an overview to know what you are letting yourselves in for.
This film is all about Kevin ... ...actresses who play the parts, Kevin and Perry meet two 'young ladies' refered to by the doorman at the nightclub as 'monsters', they are none too pretty to say the least but come up rather well later in the film when they make the effort.
Not only are we treated to excellent performances by Kevin and Perry but the DJ, 'Eye Ball Paul' portrayed by Rhys Ifans plays a blinding part.
Special effects are pretty good throughout with some pretty stomach ...

Kevin And Perry has decided to go LARGE!!! That’s right, the famous sketches of Kevin arguing with him Mum and Dad has been turned into a film, there has been an enormous amount of hype over how could this was going to be once released, therefore many would think that this is a total godsend, I will be giving the lowdown of whether this film is worth the hype.
Kevin And Perry Go Large is a film about 2 typical teenagers that moan groan and ... ...due to the unbelievable things Kevin and Perry do to get their way. As they arrive in Ibiza they glance at 2 girls that they fall in love with, trying to impress them all the way through the film, also they meet eye-ball Paul, known to them as the best DJ ever, that nick names the two teens “ginger pubes” and “sad act” as they attempt to impress him with their mix’s that they developed earlier.

We all know who Kevin and Perry are. Two stroppy teenagers, (more Kevin than Perry) and as with most teenage boys they like looking at dirty magazines. Soon after the opening they are stood outside a shop (looking very suspicious) waiting for it to become empty. As soon as it is they grab a magazine (dirty of course!) and with their bag of change, run to the till, deposit the money and quickly scamper out of the shop (after dropping the money all ... ...in a moment of panic Kevin drops the magazine on the floorand jumps on top of it. Whatever will they think of next? Kevin's parents saying no, ruins there next ludicrous idea, going to Ibiza. This sends Kevin into emotional turmoil, or in other words, a huff! So, with abit, no, a lot of help from the bank, Kevin and Perry set of to Ibiza with Kevin's parents (which Kevin and Perry strongly object to)! Now there in Ibiza they have no idea what they're ...

...girl in sight. Kevin confronts his parents with the idea and they agree as long as he pays for it. The two teenagers go out to earn money but it fails badly. The jackpot finally hits when a credit card arrives at his house for Kevin?s dad, and a plan instantly emerges. The two head off to the bank to get money out of his dads account to pay for the holiday. Whilst in the it gets burgled and Kevin has the criminal caught but I wont say how because ... ...and they are all on one disc.
OVERALL
The DVD is fantastic the film and extras cant be doubted at all. The DVD cover is vibrant and stands out so it looks very appealing and does exactly that. Well done KEVIN + PERRY aka. Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke. ...

Kevin And Perry Go Large is where the famous Harry Enfield characters get made in to a proper film. I was a bit sceptical about whether the film would be any good, but I love the sketches so had to go see it. I am pleased to say that I liked the film (in a British ‘American Pie’ style).
The actors who play Kevin’s parents are excellent to their credit and make Kevin seem even funnier. They seem perfect for their roles and have ... ...Kevin (Harry Enfield) and Perry (Kathy Burke) play two teenage boys who have the usual obsessions with girls, sex and making money. They also want to become super-star DJs. I must say that Kathy Burke is scarily convincing as a teenage boy.
One scene that really makes me laugh is where they decide to go buy a porno mag. Of course being them they pay with a whole load of change and drop it all on the floor. Kevin's dad comes along and panicky Kevin ...

I am not a Harry Enfield fan but there was a crowd of us going an every one else wanted to watch Kev and Perry so not wanting to be left out I went along and I am glad that I did.
I can't ever remember watching a film so funny in all my life.
The characters were fantastic, anybody with teenage children can see a bit of Kev in their own off spring, the story line was brilliant and the soundtrack was good.
