I remember going to see this film at the cinema about 8 years ago. At the time it was hailed as a cinematographic masterpiece with ground breaking special effects and realistic dinosaurs roaming the earth. Jurassic Park, I thought, was really good. The idea of being able to complete dinosaur DNA by using frog genes really made me think ‘what if we really could do that?’ Also, when the power shuts down in the park, that’s when you know it’s going to be terrifying! I personally think that Jurassic Park is pretty overrated, plus I have to say that is by far inferior to the 3rd Jurassic Park movie. Yes, the special effects are pretty awesome and when filming the dinosaurs, Spielberg's camera techniques and quality are pretty unparalelled. In a way I think this is the major draw of the film and is a major reason for its umprecedented popularity. However, looking past the cinematography, I certainly discovered ...
...the kitchen. I thought those where the best bits in the film. Therefore I am not going to rave about it like most people. I would still recommend it for an entertaining watch, but Jurassic Park 3 is better, and there are vast numbers of disaster/adventure films out there. ...
