This version of Joseph is fantastic...if you're a Donny Osmond fan. Which is why I watched it in the first place. Otherwise I think it's a disappointing version of an excellent Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice masterpiece. The storyline sticks to the original well known story, with a host of wellknown songs, which in my opinion are well orchestrated and sung by the cast. The narrator is the most original character, as she tells the story to a group of schoolchildren and makes the whole storyline seem so much more interesting. I thought this was truly amazing - both my son and daughter who are only 5 and 2 love this dvd - it has had so much use over the last year or so - both the children know all the songs and I am repeatedly hearing them sing them even when the dvd is not on!!! I even had to go out and buy the soundtrack on cd so that we could have the children singing along to the songs in the car!!!! I love the dvd so much and the stage show also that I can't wait ...

The difference between this musical and some others is that it is extremely family friendly.
