Production Year: 2003 - Horror - Director: Victor Salva - Original Language: English - Classification: 15 years and over - Starring: Ray Wise, Jonathan Breck, Garikayi Mutambirwa, Eric Nenninger, Nicki Lynn Aycox more
Advantages: The film is fairly interesting, 104 minutes elapse extremely quickly here. Disadvantages: Not scary, not particularly original, and certainly not the best sequel in the world.
In 2003 the second 'Jeepers Creepers' film in the series emerged from the director Victor Salva. Having been quite a fan of the original film I was looking forward to seeing this and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's not as good as the original I feel, still however it's a decent film from Victor Salva and one that I have now watched a number of times. The plot line is predictable, the film doesn't follow on particularly well from the original, ...

Advantages: It works in its own right Disadvantages: Lacks elements of the first film
Jeepers Creepers was one of the most successful horror films of recent years. It was never a film that particularly impressed me because I felt that it was two films stitched together (rather clumsily) in the middle. It was inevitable that a sequel would be made though. The first movie took so much money, that a follow-up was really just a license to print money.
A few days after the events of the first film, a farmer and his two sons are out tending ...

...to the appalling review of Jeepers Creepers 1 - seemed kinda promising, and because, being a bit of a gore whore, I wanted to see some carnage.
I got carnage alright, but not in the way that I was hoping.
For the sake of curiosity, I'll outline the plot, as much to see myself just how and where this perfectly acceptable franchise idea went so badly wrong, as for your information.
This film is set a few days after the gore of the first film, ...

...hoping for something damn good. Jeepers Creepers 2 to me was one of the most eagerly awaited films of the summer. I’ll be the first to admit that I thought that the first film was an absolute pile of crap but I thought that this would be good for comical value. From the trailer I had no high expectations thinking myself that it was rather cheesy with its slogan “FEED YOUR FEAR” – running through my head was the slogan feed your laughter! Then I thought ...

...sequel won’t be far behind. Jeepers Creepers was an effective little horror flick with some good scares and a first half that actually worked very well in creeping out its audience. Sadly the film tailed off in the second half once the villain was fully revealed but it was still a fun ride. Now the villain of the film was called The Creeper, a strange demon like figure who would come out of hibernation every 23rd spring and eat for 23 days. With this ...

Advantages: Good performances; some decent "boo" scares. Disadvantages: Script; lack of gore; atmosphere never capitalized on.
"Jeepers Creepers 2" is one of those films that get worse the more you think about it. I came out of the theatre upon seeing it over a week ago and thought that it was above average at most. I would tell those who asked me my about on it that it was "alright," nothing more, nothing less. Eventually, however, the more people that asked me, the more negative my response would become. Now it's a "skip it" or "wait for it on video." The more I gave thought ...

Advantages: some cute chicks; reasonably entertaining Disadvantages: in a rather dumb, shallow and uninvolving way; everything is spoon-fed to the audience; some threads left hanging
...there was to be a Jeepers Creepers 2. I would have much preferred if they'd at least given it an interesting name - something like "Heebie Jeebies" or "Wowsing Willies", along those lines would have been nice. Alas, we have been blessed with the generic "2" suffix. Yawn. That's usually a bad sign.
It was an auspicious beginning to the evening when the womenfolk decided to rock up late to the cinema, as myself and my mate sat around variously pacing ...

...sequel to (you've guessed it) Jeepers Creepers, it was also directed by Victor Salva who has had a hand in a shit load of crap films.
This wasn't too useless, and I preferred it to the original, which had a really bloody annoying tattoo in it (unfortunately we catch a glimpse of the sodding thing in this demon munch fest).
The one saving grace is the presence of Jonathan Breck who plays The Creeper (photo of actor below) who in my opinion is worth ...

Advantages: much better than the first one, quite watchable Disadvantages: predictible, wooden acting
Jeepers Creepers was one of the worst films I’d seen in a long while, I found it ridiculous. It was one of those films that sticks in your mind because its really really bad. So when someone lent my other half Jeepers Creepers 2 I didn’t have high hopes, in fact I was quite curious to see what a sequel to such a daft film would be like, as I’ve found that generally sequels to films are usually worse than the original.
I was pleasantly surprised. ...

Advantages: Very Scarey Disadvantages: Not As Good As Jeepers Creepers 2
This film has everything that Jeepers Creepers 1 had and it ties up all the loose ends that were left from the first one. Like Jeepers Creepers there are a lot of bloody, brutal, gorey and unpleasant scenes not for the weak stomachs.
PLOT:
THE OPENING CREDITS STARTS WITH “Every 23rd spring, for 23 days, it gets to eat... and today is day 22” This scared me already……
The films starts as the Creepers pretends to be a scarecrow in a field, a ...

Advantages: Scary in parts Disadvantages: Not as good as the original
The first Jeepers Creepers was for me an exceptionally good horror film from director Victor Salva; it's sequel is also very good, but not as scary as the original. Jeepers Creepers 2 is actually set only a few days after the original, on the last day of the Creepers 23 day feeding frenzy. Apparently the reason for the film being set on the 23rd and last feeding day is so that a Jeepers Creepers 3 couldn't be made, which apparently both Victor Salva ...

I wanted to take this back to Blockbuster and ask them why they put a comedy in the horror section. The "scariest" scene involves the monster lying the road, those arm flaps up suddenly but looks like an umberella. I AM NOT JOKING. The main character is a BROLLY!
