Advantages: great storyline, fantastic acting Disadvantages: special features
Being a Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre fan I wasn't expecting it to appeal to me as much as it did. Another period drama to fill in an hour on a Sunday evening. Nevertheless, appealed to me it did.
Jane Eyre. The classic story of a plain governess falling in love with the master of the house and vice versa. A tale which many a person could watch and read without getting tired off. With a simple background you could easily say what happens is all ... ...a deep emotive and modest Jane and Toby becoming the powerful and masculine Mr Rochester. The way he managed to show the character as a real emotional figure, reflecting on past times which affects the current goings on and his inner turmoil makes other actors fade into the background. Advantages: Great acting, a real passionate atmosphere, good tension between main characters Disadvantages: A lot of material has been cut out concerning Jane's ealry years

Advantages: Great cast, great acting Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...pretty much every version of Jane Eyre out there and this is definately one of the better quality adaptations.
This well known tale is about the orphan Jane Eyre who after surviving a pretty tough childhood in the Lowood School for Girls applies to become a governess at Thornfield Hall which brings her into the presence of her young charge Adele, and the enigmatic Lord of the Manor Mr Rochester. As time passes the relationship between Jane and Mr ... ...as Jane Eyre come across as believeable characters. There is also a great supporting cast including Francesca Annis, Christina Cole and Tara Fitzgerald.
I would recommend this to any Charlotte Bronte fans out there and alsoto anyone who is looking for a entertaining tale of intrigue, romance and mystery. ...

Advantages: GREAT FILM AND STORY LINE Disadvantages: NONE!
Jane Eyre- What can I say I love this film... Ever since this was on BBC on a Sunday night, I found myself hooked to it. I am youngish and I would never have thought I would have liked one of the Bronte tales, as this is what my Nan enjoys but I really enjoyed it that much I had to get the DVD version! The Novel Itself This is an adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's novel 'Jane Eyre'. This was a much loved classic and BBC provide this excellent version! ... ...Governess available at Thornfield hall, Jane accepts this career and does not look back! She becomes a tutor for a young French girl who is lively and willing to do lot of different activities. She finds herself falling in love with the owner of Thornfield Hall; Mr Rochester! She gradually wins his heart and her future may follow... Loves The reason why I love this tale is because as always with these novels you can't really predict the ending so ...
