After a whole load of hype, advertising and excitement, The Incredible’s has finally hit the big screen. It has been a long time in the making and I for one was really quite excited about this latest offering from Pixar. After having relatively little to do one Sunday afternoon I decided to take advantage of the advanced screenings and go see this film. ** Background **
The Incredibles is the latest offering from Disney Pixar Animation Studios, ... ...Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Monsters Inc. This time Pixar have combined with Brad Bird to make an animated film about The Incredibles. Bird has written, directed and even voiced this latest film, which seems sure to be a box office smash. Brad Bird has previously been involved with both the “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill”.
** Storyline **
A superhero’s work is never done. Well this time it appears that it is. Superheros are busy going about ...

After a series of lawsuits are filed against superheroes they are all forced to go into a witness protection programme and live ordinary lives. Mr Incredible and his wife Elastigirl are just two of these unfortunates, posing as the unassuming Parrs; forced to live in suburbia, doing frustratingly meaningless jobs and raising their super-powered kids as best they can. But Mr Incredible can’t let go of the past and is itching to get back into his super-suit ... ...is a good one. The characters are introduced through a series of old-fashioned talking heads, during their glory days. Mr Incredible is top of the tree, the so-cool-he’s-freezing Frozone is the cool dude on the block and Elastigirl is a forthright super-heroine who can stretch, bend and twist better than any yoga instructor. So you know how difficult life is for them when they are forced to suppress their powers and live in suburban normality. The ...

First of all I would like to state that The Incredibles has never been at the top, or anywhere else, of my list of "must see" films but it rained all day on Sunday and small person was bored. We've already "done" Santa's Grotto so were struggling to think of something to entertain him when a trailer advertising The Incredibles popped on to the tv screen. Of course there was no quietening him now and he begged, pleaded and whined to be taken to see ... ...up all hopes of watching footie and agreed to take him, provided I came too. My cunning plan was to sneak in to a different showing when we got there, but I was foiled when husband bought the tickets, all for the film in question. We had an embarrassing few moments, when he stood there, looking gormless after being given his change from a £20 note and waiting for the rest, whilst the cashier gently told him that that was all he was getting and yes, ...

...about this little film the Incredibles, somehow managing to miss all the hype and images on billboards, magazines, comics, papers, TV shows etc. The mail film critic exclaimed in a typically measured fashion "This is surely the greatest family film of all time!". Samuel Jackson is his best friend, the ice cool 'frozone', and Holly Hunter is his wife Mrs. Incredible. ...

The Incredibles
Lets not get too cheesy and lets avoid using the dreaded adjectives “fantastic,” “amazing,“ and “incredible” to describe Pixar’s latest offering. One thing for sure is this movie has definitely hit the bull’s-eye. Pixar and Brad Bird had a lot to live up to after the visually spectacular Finding Nemo but they have not let no-one down with their latest offering especially that it was targeting adults and older children rather than ... ...The Incredibles is centred around a family of superheroes that are forced to retire due to the suing culture that has taken over their world. Whilst dealing with Violet and Dashiell’s abilities of becoming ...

...lot more violence in The Incredibles, and some children (and obviously parents) have not been too happy about this. Due to the nature of the plot I guess this was largely unavoidable but it will put off some parents from letting their children watching it. It's certainly not gory, but there are a lot of explosions and bullets flying around. More worrying to me was the fact that the children in the audience when I saw it seemed to find the most violent ... ...the standard of Nemo or Toy Story 2, but for most of the film it was good rather than inspired. If the satirical element from the beginning of the movie had been sustained throughout the movie then it would have improved the overall script no end, but sadly we're left with only a few grin-inducing comments about superheroes. To me the action doesn't really make up for the relative lack of humour (don't get me wrong, there are funny moments, just ...

The Incredibles, written and directed by Brad Bird is the latest Pixar, Disney offering. You may already have seen Brad's previous work with The Iron Giant, another very nice animation. The Incredibles is set in the 50's, and is two hours of pure fun. The voices include, Jason Lee, Samuel L Jackson, Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter. Parents beware, there is some violence in this animated movie, though it is rather low key, and has a ... ...superb, I liked the facial expressions, the real looking hair, and the costumes. I also liked the fact, that there was a real story going on here, characters with feelings and depth, that you cared about. It was far better than some of the plots in 'real' films. Mixed with the funny humour, and witty dialogue, this film is a winner. This is simply wonderful, and is easily as good as, if not better than, Toy Story. ...

I am sure everyone reading this will by now be familiar with the storyline: superhero gets sued for saving someone's life; superheroes go into retirement to save the government paying out on more damages claims; master villain appears on the scene and the superheroes decide to come out of retirement, put on their costumes and fight the evil genius. In a nutshell that is what the film is all about - it doesn't sound that appealing though, does it?

Meet Mr. Incredible, Elastagirl and their kids Dash, Violet and Jak Jak – together they create the Incredibles. A superhero family.
This is a fun animation by Pixar and Disney. With such recent hits as Finding Nemo, great things were expected by the release of this next venture, and boy was it not a let down.
The background of the story basically goes that Mr. Incredible the ‘coolest’ superhero around falls for Elastagirl, a marriage made in heaven ... ...suing for damages, saying, they didn’t want to be saved. All of America’s finest superhero’s are soon finding their jobs redundant and must take new identities from the ‘Superhero Protection Agency’.
