I had watced the trair for this film which made me want to see it and the movie started of great. Emma Thomson calmly announces they've created a cure for cancer but instead turns them into vampire/zombies. will smith seems to be immune and seems like the only survivor with his dog. But then it all went wrong with the computer genorated vampire/zombies whichlook so un lifelike. If you are looking for a scary film DO NOT WATCH THIS! will smith tried his best to carry this film but their is so much you can do with such a weak storyline ...

...The cons--- The CGi I found quite primitive- they all look like they have just stepped out of a computer game! I believe real people ith prosthetics would of made more of an impact, and added to the general thrills and jumps of the movie. Also the storyline is slow, you have to really be into this movie to appricite it and its hard when the script isnt brilliant; dont get me wrong its still worth watching but you wish it could of been that little ...
...and the history of life threatening viral infections (thanks!) With the 2 disc special you get the same except the other disc is basically an alternative recut movie? Whats the point? If you buy this do it for the film and I suggest getting it on rental first :D ...

Remake of an original. An absolute must-see. Will Smith is, as ever, impossible to turn away from. The story line keeps you interested, the mixture between drama, horror, thriller, is entertaining. It also has classic comedy involved and a few sad moments. The relationship between "the last man on earth" and "man's best friend" is truly endeering and worthy of many awards. You will not be disappointed. As usual, Will Smith gives a fabulous performance in this thriller DVD, possibly a bit too violent to be a family movie, however anyone over the age of 12 should be able to cope with the jumpy atmosphere. Haven't been as impressed with a film since 28 Days Later, so if you liked that, you will enjoy this. ...

a definitely must watched! well, somehow i feel that the story lines can be related to the present-day... humans coming up with "solution" to "problems" (a cure for cancers) only to realise that a bigger problem (human becoming monsters) will come up... and then come a hero (will-smith) who will save the world. sacrificing himself to save the world... who can? and who created all the mess in the first place... ? ...

I went to see I Am Legend at the cinema with my partner and both of us left not feeling too sure about the film. My partner hates anything scary and he jumped quite a bit whilst watching this. I on the otherhand also hate scary movies but this had no affect on me. Will Smith, as always, was very good in it. Not sure I'd want to see it again though. Seemed to be a slight take on 28 Days Later, but maybe that's just my opinion. Its one of those movies where once you've seen it you don't feel the need to watch it again. ...

After seeing I Am Legend i was bitterly disappointed. My first issue was with the way they used CGI. I love CGI and i see its benefits but there is nothing more obtrusive in a film than poor CGI. In this day and age a film with such a budget shouldn't have this issue. I thought this was a great film, nice to see Will Smith in a film where he is not portrayed as overly gung-ho as I think he is a great actor. This film kept me on the edge of my seat, great story and acting. Plenty of action without unneccessary gore. The special effects were good and some parts were really tense with quite a few jumps. I have to say that I was never really a fan of Will Smith but the after watching the last few of his films, I have totally changed my opinion of his acting abilities. ...
