Advantages: A parody/tribute of '70s Horror films that is quite watchable when it gets it right. Disadvantages: It doesn't always get it right.
...are forced to enter her house due to what they believe is car trouble and they soon find out what hides inside of the house.
If it sounds a lot like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" then you're one step closer to figuring out what Zombie is trying to accomplish with this film. The plot is rehashed and unneeded but hey, when did a plot ever come into play in '70s Horror?
Don't expect to watch this movie and see something conventional. Throw what ...

...that there will be no House of 1000 Dead Corpses 2.
The only bit I liked about the movie is a scene when there is a mini performance by one of the actresses. She sings and seduces the audience in a mini theatre like those you get in a freak circus.
The performance by the actors and actresses were less than convincing. I wondered who did the casting. Most of them are fresh faces and inexperienced.
Should you get the DVD?
I don't think you ...

Advantages: quite a short picture Disadvantages: bad actors, too many "filler"-scenes with halfnaked women
When I started to watch this picture I thought that it was going to be a real horrormovie, even though I suspected that it would not be a good one. Anyway, I was very disappointed with this picture.

House of 1000 Corpses is living proof that just because the director of a horror movie was a metal star, it doesn't automatically mean that the horror movie will be awesome or impressive in the least, or at least that's what it seems like at first ;)
If you have only watched this movie once then you are more than likely going to be disappointed by it, but some movies, like this one for example, need to be watched more than once in order for you ...

Advantages: Gorefest for classic Horror movie Fans Disadvantages: Very Gory. Sick!
I first heard about this film many years ago - It kept being delayed and delayed. Being a big Rob Zombie fan, I saw this film a little biast. The film is basically a parody of all the famous 30's-70's horror films but mostly texas chainsaw massacre. If you've ever seen a Rob Zombie music video, and enjoyed it, You'll love this. Demented clowns, Zombies, Half naked girls and lots and lots of blood make this mostly a male's film, Though I enjoyed it!
