Advantages: better than shaun of the dead, witty and good fun Disadvantages: takes a while to get going
I admit i was one of the few people who didnt like shaun of the dead, so when my mate brought this round to watch i was very weary at first, expecting more of the same, but to my delight this film was hilarious, smart, and very gory. it took a short while to get into but there were numerous action sequences, and the plotline was very smart for a comedy. this tells the tale of a one man arresting machine from london who is transferred over to a small ...

Advantages: Both funny and a great action packed film Disadvantages: Not as good as Shaun of the Dead was
...and althougth the story to Hot Fuzz is better i found that it wasn't as funny as Shaun of the Dead which both Simon Pegg and Nick Frost starred in. Hot Fuzz is a good film to watch though and manages to be very funny while being a good action film so i would recomend anybody who enjoyed Shaun of the Dead to buy this film as you will really enjoy it. ...

Advantages: It's action-packed, hilarious and immensely entertaining Disadvantages: there was none
This is an amazing film, brillient comedy, whoever wrote the script should be given a medle, because it is amazing. The plot is very good, whoever directed it had great atention to detail because nothing was ever missed out. The special efffects were amazing, especially when the church spike impaled the quys head, that was the best special effects. I dont hink that this was as good a Shaun of the Dead that they both starred in but it comes verry ...

Advantages: all the action packed comedy Disadvantages: none what so ever
hot fuzz is the funniest film i have seen for a while. I think that the one liners in the film make the film even better. Although i wasn't expecting the slightly odd twist i did quite enjoy it. the fact that the calm and quiet villagers suddenl turned into nasty violent killers topped off the rate of the comedy. It is deffinately the best film of this year so far. i think the woman police officer was the best charector with the funny one liners ...

Advantages: Really funny, with a good storyline with a twist at the end Disadvantages: Possibly not to EVERYONES taste
This film is sooooo funny! I watched it at the cinema and then time and time again after it came out on DVD and I still find it so funny! I saw the previews at the cinema and it looked brilliant so as soon as it came out i had to watch it and I wasnt dissappointed!
When you start watching it you do compare it to shaun of the dead and to start with it doesnt really match up but by the end I actually thought it was BETTER!!
It may not be to everyones ...

Advantages: Amazing Film Disadvantages: Lots of places to End
...magnificent. The cast is super! Hot Fuzz will surely be up for Film of the Year 2007. The stunning cast and script makers have made a truly wonderful film.
The humour is endless, from pure idiocracy to shear brilliance. From start to end, you will feel the energy coming from this film. It starts a bit slowly, but once it gets going, the film is a masterpiece.
Only slight downer is that the film does have many places in which it could end, but doesn't. ... ...film continues to be funny throughout, in the end, you just dont want it to finish!
No truly amazing special affects, but this makes the film more realistic, and funny. It's a cross between Comedy, Action and Thriller. Not many films can manage to pull off 3 genres in 1 film, but this one surely does! ...

Advantages: Funny, action-packed, well acted, well written, well made Disadvantages: Not enough of it!
I watched this movie, and afterwards, all I could think about was watching it again. After Shaun Of The Dead, it was questionable whether the two zombie-fighters could make such a jewel, but this is comedy AND action at it's best. From the small one-liners to the hilarious final fight, this movie leaves you laughing in tears, and without a way to express the sheer delight of watching the two cops blow up old ladies and men in a small countryside ...

Advantages: Lots of action and very funny Disadvantages: Lots of gore, lots of violence and lots of swear words
This film is about a very rule abiding police officer, named Officer Angel, who is moved to the country, where things are run a little differently. Which Angel finds out the hard way.
This film kept me on my toes and the jokes were brilliant, although there was alot of gore and language. There was alot of twists to the story line and it was pulled off very well.
I would recommend this to many people, especially if you have seen Shaun of the Dead ...

Writers Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright (Spaced and Shaun of the dead come up with another hilarious comedy.
Sinopsis Nicholas Angel (Pegg) play a topclass cop from london who is so good he make everyone else look bad in the force. As a result, Angel's superiors send him to a sleepy village of Sandford.
Once there, he is partnered with police officer Danny Butterman (Frost). The son of Police Chief Frank Butterman. However, as a series of grisly accidents ... ...not what it seems and is determined to get to the bottom of it. If you like "Shaun of the Dead" then you will love this film. It has the same humour and doesn't fail to give you another enjoyable film.
You see alot of familiar face in this film who are all great actors in there own right.
However i was slightly suprised at this film as it was quite gory in places this did seem to shock me as reading the trailers before hand i wouldn't have thought ...
