Advantages: One good line Disadvantages: Just rubbish - no other words
So I'm going to say something very controversial - I didn't like this movie. I saw Shaun of the Dead at the cinema and thought it was OK, but this I just did not get. Granted, I watched this one with my friends in the comfort of my own living room and I guess there may be some truth in the concept that it may well have benefited from the 'big screen' but I just didn't enjoy it. I found myself allienated by the humour and asking questions like 'why ... ...I am pretty sure was not the intention of the cast or crew. The only redeeming feature of this film was one quick quip which made me laugh. Obviously I wont ruin it for you but if you can put your hand on your heart and say that you have nothing better to do than wait for two hours for one line worth a snigger then give it a go but to be honest, I think life is too short for this movie! ...

Advantages: Hillarias, fab film Disadvantages: Goes on a bit at the start
This is a great film, a really great film. But if you get bored fairly quickly watching a film, then I wouldn't completely recommend it.
It goes on a bit at the start as the main charactor (SGT Nicklaus Angel) is very gradually introduced as a real dedicator to the job of policing London, and is not best pleased when he is transfered to the town of Standford, winner of the "Village of the year award" many times over.
He is the perfect officer as ... ...off of the most minor all all crimes. He also follows the code of conduct down to the bone, mentioning all things said incorrectly, such as "A Police personnel is not to be called a Police Man, as it is sexist", and many other sayings such as this.
Later on in the film he realizes that the whole town is corrupt, killing anybody who may expose them, or leave them. He then uses a massive stash of weapons confiscated earlier in the film from a local. ...

Advantages: Thoroughly hilarious. Great menu and film editing Disadvantages: Slows in middle
Really great. The film is thoroughly entertaining from the start with some excellent editing and some fast and hilarious jokes. It keeps you awake as it jumps straight into the story and be sure to stay alert so as not to miss anything funny going on in the background.
If you like Simon Pegg and co you'll love this. The only critisism is that the pace slows just over half way which I found a little frustrating but it was quickly back on track and ...

For anyone that liked Shaun of the Dead , you'll LOVE this!
Another great hit from Pegg and Frost! More mild horror packed with comedy. The story line is a little confusing at times and it does seem to end quickly. But it is a overall ACE film! ...

Advantages: Funny throughout, great cast, a must see! Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too long & slow to start
Simon Pegg, who once lived not so far from me before he was famous, is great in this hilarious comedy film, as is Nick Frost. Pegg, playing as PC Nicholas Angel gets moved from London to a small village in Gloucestershire because he was too good and showed them all up. Thinking it will be rubbish there, Angel, with his sidekick Danny Butterman (Frost), struggles to get used to the place, until it is revealed that the town is not what it seems! What ... ...film, leaving you glued to your seat!
This film is funny throughout, lots of gags and sly jokes and, without giving too much away, try and spot the references to other films (e.g. Shaun of the Dead). It is a little surreal/possibly a little far-fetched in places but hey, its a comedy and it made me laugh! The film is 2 hours long which i thought would be too long - it is slightly i think as the build up could have been cut down a little but i have ...

Advantages: Very Funny, Great Stunts, Great Effects & All Star Cast Disadvantages: None Spring To Mind
...from Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in this action packed movie. With Edgar Wright directing it, and the all-star cast of Paddy Considine, Steve Coogan, Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman, Jim Broadbent and ex-bond Timothy Dalton, there is no shortage of drama and comedy throughout its showing. All the actors have great input and make the film as successful as it is.

This DVD is a classic comedy with all the hilarious jokes similar to 'Shaun of the Dead'
It has some ultimate action scenes that viewers can laugh at because of the criteria of the film
If you liked that, you'll like this!
Simon Pegg is forced to leave his policing dutuies of the city as he is just 'too good' in comparison to his collegues. He is sent to a small innocent little village that has practically no crimes apart from maybe everyone knowing ...

Advantages: laugh at load comedy that with make you cry at the humour in it Disadvantages: it maybe a little hard to ge tthe humour if you do not understand british culture
One of the best films around in awhile. If you are not british, its a funny insite into british humour. Its full of action for those whole love a good shoot out and then it still keeps its comedic value with the help of characters such as danny.
Danny and new to the town Nicholas Angel embark on a troublesome task after a few to many "accidents" occour in the town. With Nicholas so close to the truth, the ones behind these "accidents" try to silence ...

Advantages: funny, cheap to buy now Disadvantages: film does drag on a bit
Hot Fuzz is based on a top London cop who is relocated to rural Sandford where he stumbles upon all manner of misdoings. Action comedy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and directed by Pegg's co-writer Edgar Wright.
Hot Fuzz is better than Shaun Of The Dead. Not as verbally witty as its predecessor perhaps, but Edgar Wright's action comedy is knee-deep in great sight gags, and the director's keen understanding of both forms make this a rare phenomenon: ... ...have crafted the eagerly anticipated Hot Fuzz - and we've got a link to the film's first review.
The film follows the tale of London's hottest cop, sent out to the sticks because he's making the rest of the Met' look like mugs. There, he encounters some interesting colleagues (Nick Frost) and realises that sleepy suburbia is not quite in the slumber it first seems to be. It's really quite difficult to find fault with Hot Fuzz. It delivers everything ...

Advantages: Funny, Amazing Film Disadvantages: None I Can Think Off
This is definately a film to watch! Simon Pegg and Nick Frost at it again! This is their best film they have done so far. Much better than shawn of the dead. It is mindless comedy so if your feeling switched off and don't really want to think about what your watching, this is for you.
The Cast is: Simon Pegg … Nicholas Angel
Nick Frost … Danny Butterman
Jim Broadbent … Frank Butterman
Paddy Considine … Andy #1
Rafe Spall … Andy #2
Olivia Colman ... ...Edward Woodward … Tom Weaver
Bill Bailey … Sargeant Turner
It's a good movie for the lads, lots of guns. Very fast paced movie. Not going to dissapoint!
I would definately recommend this film. If your not too sure rent it first, then you'll want to buy it. ...

I was really looking forward to watching this film but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was because I enjoyed their zombie film so much that i was expecting something of similar quality but alas it was not to be. There are some very funny parts. I particularly enjoyed the storming of somerfield and the constant comparisons to american police action films were pretty funny but still not as good as their first effort.
The beginning of the film is ...
