Advantages: laughing all the way through this film Disadvantages: none
This film has a certificate rating of 15; this is because it has very strong language and there is some strong violence, although this is comical violence it is still quite bloody and strong. The running time of the film is 120 minutes and it is said that they made it exactly 120 minutes intentionally. It is set in London and is all about jealous colleagues who conspire to get a top London cop (Pegg) transferred to a small London town and paired ... ...he is doing (Frost). Nicholas Angel is that good at his job that he just makes everyone else look bad! On the job the pair stumble upon many suspicious events. For a while during the film the worst kind of crimes you will see will be shoplifter and under age drinking.
As a grisly and wired accidents rocks the village, Angel is more than convinced that sandford is not as quite as it seems as there are a lot of accidental deaths start to happen during ...

Advantages: Some funny moments Disadvantages: Not enough funny moments and rubbish story
Very disappointing, after loving Simon Pegg and Nick Frost last film 'Shaun of the Dead' i feel very let down by this below par comedy. Pegg plays a wonder cop working in a large city who gets transfered to a small station in the middle of nowhere where there is very little crime. After a murder takes place he along with local copper Nick Frost go on the hunt for the killer and uncover a lot of secrets about this town and its residents. The comedy ... ...Shaun of the Dead but it doesn't come close to its comedic appeal. If it had been from an unknown team i would have thought it was a decent comedy but being a follow up of sorts to Shaun of the Dead it seems worse mainly cause i know they could do and have done better films. Wouldn't recommend get Shaun of the Dead instead ...

Hot fuzz is a modern day comedy about two police men in somerset solving crime. I saw this film back in 2006 and once i saw it i knew that it was the film i would love to buy it and that is what i did. I think this film is so funny as it was made by the same people of shaun of the dead hich is another to star the new comedy duo of simon pegg and nick frost. The most annoying part about this is it is almost like shaun of dead and does copy some of ...

Advantages: gut renching laughter Disadvantages: none at all
What can i say about this movie except i have not laughed so loud and hard in a long time. Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost are brilliant together and the comedy spills out of them effortlessly, A super cop that is more or less forced out from his all action packed crime busting life in London,to a quiet and very boring town in the middle of nowhere,Only to soon discover very sinister and strange murders happening in such a tranquil and none exciting town. With ...

Advantages: Very Funny With Good Original Storyline Disadvantages: Same Comedy As Shaun Of The Dead
...i saw the adverts for Hot Fuzz on the TV i thought the it looked ace, really funny and original. Now that i have bought it on DVD and watched the whole film from start to finish, i realised that the adverts only showed the good parts of the film. It features a copper from London (Simon Pegg) who is used to high octane police work like armed robberies and drud raids, but his girlfriend leaves him because he cares about nothing but his job and doing ... ...London gets promoted to Sergeant, but to his disliking, he must move to Sandford which is a quiet country village. His first night there he arrests a lot of underage kids in a pub and what seems to be a local drunk of a man. This man turns out to be a copper himself and his new partner (Nick Frost). I wont ruin the film by telling you the rest, except that the film isnt really that exciting until the last half of an hour. One dissapointment however ...

Advantages: Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg. Disadvantages: Second half.
...so unworthy but trust me Hot Fuzz is one of the best flick of the year(2007). The actors in this movie really done their best and gives us crime-comedy action. It sounds like an X-rated flick but the credits made me pick it up in an instant. This was the same team that worked on the hilarious Shaun Of the Dead(2004). Hot Fuzz will tickle you and wow you at the same time.
This one describes in mocking, shocking detail the inner working of the UK police ... ...track record and makes his collegues look like losera. But rather than appreciate him to sleepy Sandford town and make him a partner to Chief Frank Butterman's (Jim) son, the over-eager danny(nick), who is throughly enamoured of big city thrills. When the odd pair uncovers a crime scene deemed an accident, they get embroiled in an action packed chase. It is a simple story but with wonderful laughs they generate coupled with excellent action sequence.it's ...

Advantages: Funny from the start to the credits. Breaking of taboos! Disadvantages: None whatsoever
May I first say - what a great film. The classic Simon Pegg and Nick Frost duo once again brings great comedy to our cinemas, and now our TV's.
A town policeman is re-assigned a small countryside village as his new job. A man of action he sees the assignment as mundane when compared to his previously action packed, town, on-the-beat job.
On arrival the village progressively seems more and more unusual - as you will see, corruption within the police ... ...great shoot-outs, car chases, and mindless violence (in a comical way). I am hesitant to mention any fine details - I would spoil the fun for you! If you like previous Simon Pegg and Nick Frost productions then this is definately for you.
This film is a great comedy - similar to that of Spaced, and Shaun of the Dead. I recommend this film - Adult supervision is required for younger ones in certain scenes - the language and violence is regular - ...

Advantages: very graphic & very funny Disadvantages: too many endings...drags a little
to be honest i wasnt expecting much when i got this, it was just a fill in film to make up my numbers but i liked shaun of the dead so i guess id give it a go..that thing they did on channel 4 was appalling..anyway i digress. this starts out with police 'officer' angel (simon pegg) clearing up all the crime in london and embarrasing everyone else so much they cart him off to the country where ther has not been a murder in 20 years and is virtually ... ...drinking cop who sees a crime in every corner when no one else does they just eat cake..
the murders start and the plot is alive with very visual killings (church roof is all im saying!) or accidents as they say and plots a plenty with pegg having the local somerfield manager (timothy dalton) as prime suspect. the effects are very well done and really change the line of the film, this is not just funny as hell!! and trust me its laugh out loud funny..

...love this, if you didn't, Hot Fuzz is still worth a watch. Superbly put together by Edgar Wright with plenty of action along with the humour. Has great camerawork throughout and really drags you in to it. The double disc edition has some superb extras with the usual outtakes and actor commentaries. Plenty of comic bloody violence mixed in with the more subtle jokes. Simon Pegg plays his part as the only policeman in the force with any nous superbly. ...

Advantages: Funny, clever, witty example of a genre master. Disadvantages: Structuarally in places is a bit too loose.
Simon Pegg has gone beyond genius with this brilliantly penned piece of work. It has the essence of Shaun of the dead but is punchier, funnier and mostly, beautifully crafted.
He shows that in order to understand the movie industry you need to understand genre and this man most certainly does.
When a brilliant Metropolitan police officer is sent in to the wilds of a Gloucestershire village to take up a Sergeant's position, he soon learns that his ... ...way possible is challenged by the strange folk that live there. 'For the good of the village' becomes a sinister tagline for all the strange goings on and Simon Pegg's character aims to reveal the real truth!
This is a totally excellent film that will have you laughing out loud - especially the gun scene and you will want to watch it again and again and again! ...

...a hard act to follow, Hot Fuzz lives up to all the hype. Funny from start to finish and not at all predictable. Good script means that the action flows wonderfully and intelligently to keep you guessing as you watch. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost bounce of each other and create a hilarious duo.

PC Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is the best cop around, he has arrested the most people on the force and is truly one of the best cops of his time. Advantages: Extremely Funny, Great Engaging Storyline and Characters Disadvantages: None
In my opinion one of the best British comedies in years! Engaging storyline, very funny and great characters. Thrilling plot from the very beginning, sometimes verging on a ridiculous with a great twist at the end. An amazing parody of an action cop movie and has succeeded where many others have failed. I was very impressed with the over all standard of the film. It's not often you get a British comedy these days and The "Shaun of the Dead" team ...
