...actually enjoying this film. Horton (Jim Carrey) is an Elephant in a jungle who teaches some of the children animals about the jungle and the surroundings. One day, he hears tiny, tiny screams coming from a spec of dust which is flying in front of him - and so, he gives up what he is doing to give pursiut to try and catch it before it meets doom. ...but boy was I wrong. Horton the elephant (Jim Carrey) hears a cry for help from a speck of dust floating thru the air, he soon discovers that it is the tiny world of Who-Ville. The beginning part was okay but during the middle (I'm not sure when) I fell asleep. The story was weak and not as humourous as first hoped. Is it just me or has Jim lowered his standards? This film may appear to be obscure nonsence but it is brilliant on so many different levels when you think about it during / afterwards, and younger viewers will find its special affects spell binding even if they don't understand all of the films points. I particularly like special cartoon affects in this film where cartoon animation and water animation go together, making the cartoon world look much more real.
