Hook is one of my favorite childrens film as it takes a unique spin on the story of peter pan.It tells the story about a grown up peterpan who has forgotten who he is,he now has two children he is beggining to neglect as he is so busy making himself a sucess but he has to attend a party at wendys house(who is know a old lady) and memorys strart creeping back.Hook is getting onto and he misses the fun and fights with Peter so he kidnapps his children ... ...he is in time to save his children and put a end to hook.
What makes this film fabulous is not only the story but the fabulous Robin Williams who is such a fabulous actor,he warms your heart in this film and along with the children makes a fantastic performance.
He seems to have as much fun making this movie as the kids do which definatley comes across in the movie,its recomended for all ages and will keep both you and the kids busy for a few hours ...

...to rescue the kids that Hook has kidnapped. The kids start to lose their memory when they are in the other world and Jack, the eldest, starts to believe that Hook is his real father. Peter Pan is retaught how to fly and fight and then he fights Hook to the death to get his kids back with the help of the lost boys. This is a great family film if you know and love the background of Peter Pan. ...

Advantages: Greta first half, lovely to look at. Disadvantages: Too cold, not magical enough.
For the first half of this retake on Peter Pan, I felt I was in for a real treat, it had old fashioned warmth, humour and imagination and then unfortunately we went to never never land. This is where it started going wrong. I think Spielberg has tried to make the film more appealing to the more 'sophisticated' youth of today, with cyber punk lost boys and more action than depth. The film required Mary Poppinsish warmth, Disneyesque charm and so on ...

Advantages: good idea Disadvantages: slow going at times
When I first saw hook it had been out for some time and had rave reviews, I was quite interested in watching it as i like robin williams. The film appealed to our family on two different levels, I enjoyed the first half hour alot , but the children found it really slow going however once we got to never never land the children enjoyed it alot. The film has been on here several times it is not the greatest film I have ever seen but it is entertaining ...
