Advantages: It's only 76 minutes long Disadvantages: It's rubbish
All of the animals that live on the Patch of Heaven ranch are family more than food. When the ranch is threatened with foreclosure by the bank, three cows set out to track down the no-good cattle rustler Alameda Slim, so they can claim the reward and save the farm.
“Home on the Range” marks the end of an era for Disney. It is their last hand-drawn feature. But if this pile of sentimental drivel is the best they can do, then frankly it’s a good thing. ... ...has been on for years. There was a brief respite when they took a turn for the funnier with “The Emperor’s New Groove”, but that was apparently an aberration. As is this film. I cannot fathom how it was ever green-lit by the studio. Did the animators threaten to leave if they didn’t have something, anything to work on? If that’s the case, they should have packed up and left while they had the chance, because there is little chance of anyone attached ...

I have to say that my hubby’s film choices are improving so much lately, this is another film we found out about when we saw a trailer for it on a DVD we watch a few weeks ago. It did look very funny and enjoyable for my myself and the boys. I am glad to say it did not disappoint me. At the start of the film we meet Maggie, she is a show cow but as her owners farm has been closed down she is taken to her new home, Patch of Heaven. She soon shows ... ...cow and is the helper of the leader, Calloway and they are a bit weary of Maggie but soon warm to her. Shortly after Maggie’s arrival the Sherriff arrives and tells the owner that if she cannot pay the money she owes on her farm then it will be auctioned off. Maggie decides that she will not let ‘Patch of Heaven’ be closed down as all of the animals there love the place so much and it is a very happy place to live so she takes action. Maggie along ...

...me for ages to buy Home on the Range, and, unknown to them, it had been languishing in my Amazon basket for several weeks, waiting for me to add something in order to get free delivery. Then I noticed that Amazon had put the price up by several pounds to £19.99, and although this meant that I could now get free postage on this DVD alone, I was sure I could get it cheaper elsewhere, so I deleted it. The next day, I ventured into the oven that is our ... ...prospect of losing both her home and her beloved animals. She reckons without the resilience of newcomer Maggie, who through her experience as a show cow, is far more travelled and worldly wise than her country cousins, and she hits upon the idea of the cows travelling to the County Fair to enter a show in an attempt to win the money for Pearl's reprieve. The disapproving Mrs C is appalled at such a prospect, but Grace (Jennifer Tilly), a dizzy and ...

OK, firstly I will take this opportunity to apologise for the appalling puns already used, and for any others that inadvertently follow!!!
This film has been out on DVD for some time now after a brief spell in our cinemas. It has some sentimental value as this is the final film to be produced using Disney's usual animation method of hand drawn characters. However, this also marks a return to form following some poorer offerings in recent years, ... ...itself is 73 minutes long which may be a little short for some people but it is meant to be a children's film and therefore comes with a universal classification. The cost can vary but you should be able to pick it up for around £10 - £15 in all entertainment shops. I purchased my copy in Tesco supermarket which was £13.99 a few weeks ago.
Although this film is all animation it still has an all star cast with the following big name stars involved.

Already released in the US and due to open here Mid-august is Disney’s brand new animated feature film ‘Home on the Range’.
This is a film of great importance to Disney. ...choice was between Thunderbirds and Home on the Range. Thunderbirds seems too annoying for words so we went for the traditional Disney movie. It’s the last one made using traditional 2D methods and I can not say I’m sorry.
