A consistently underrated Disney film, Hercules contains all the traditional disney magic with the twist of a Gospel-feeling soundtrack. Based on the Greek myth Hercules is a film about the son of Zeus (King of the Gods) - a boy that due to Hedes and his evil henchmen's work is rendered mortal. Hercules is the son of Zeus and Hera and part of the prophecy that stops Hades taking over things. Hades bumbling henchmen are supposed to kill him but don't with the result that Hercules has to live on earth rather than Olympus. Hercules grows up, mets Phil (deVito) and the two-faced Meg.He learns his true parentage and tries to prove his worth and work his way back to Olympus.
