...inspirational mind the release of Hellraiser was upon us.
According to many film critics at the time Hellraiser was to break the mould of horror movies at the time well did it lets see shall we.
The film is largely based around the family home. Larry and his wife Julia have moved into a new home. And Kirsty Larry's daughter also plays a large part. Frank Larry's brother and Julia's old lover when they first met. All the characters work very ...

Advantages: The films, The extras, The box Disadvantages: A little bit dated, The box (see review)
...features in all of the Hellraiser movies, is a 4-disc special edition set. It is labelled as 'Limited Edition', although I'm not sure what it is that's limited about it, since it has been in shops since 2004 and is still selling in them now - almost 2006.

Advantages: The fist three films plus an extras disc Disadvantages: Very Few, Difficult to fit in my DVD case
A must have for any Hellraiser fans, Excellently presented in the 'box', tons of really good extras.
Very good special effects for its time with excellent custume design, from the twisted mind of Clive Barker.

Just for some information, here is a list ...

So if ...

Advantages: Looks way cool on your mantelpiece ! Disadvantages: None if you are a hellraiser fan
...is not quite the complete hellraiser set. You can - if you look hard enough get hold of 4 & 5, mostly in the states.
However that aside (and Ive heard the 4th and 5th films are pretty poor in comparison) , this box set encompasses the 3 main movies in the trilogy. I loved the first and second films and Clive Barker will be remembered for his totally original slant on horror that it portrays, especially in the opening movie with the cenobites each ...
