Advantages: excellent songs and dances Disadvantages: a long musical but all worth it
Hello, Dolly! was first produced on Broadway by David Merrick in 1964, and later went on to win 10 Tony's. When it was finally made into a 1969 film it became nominated for seven Academy Awards.
Fabulous widow Dolly Levi whilst teaching dance classes (amongst other things) makes her living meddling in others lives. Matchmaking being her speciality. However when her new client 'half a millionaire' Vandergelder books her to find him a wife of his ... ...the only woman right for him is of course, Dolly herself.
Dolly convinces Vandergelder the perfect woman for him is in new york city and takes him and his two assistants to the big Apple.
Howerver, on arrival, Vandergelder's intended is kept away from him , much to his annoyance. Dolly decides that his two clerks are perfect for the miliner and her assistant and love blooms!
Horace Vandergelder does storm off but is soon caught up in the whirlwind ...

...the most famous musical songs, Hello Dolly. Which i am sure anyone will agree is just fantastic. The cameo role of Louis Armstrong is a great treat and i am sure you will be playing the songs over and over again. This film/Musical is one that stays in your head for weeks. A great buy and a great experience. Sometimes the story does need pushing along a bit and Barbara has alot of screen time which can get a bit tedious. ...
