Advantages: Pacino and De Niro Disadvantages: none
Heat is a crime film directed and written by Michael Mann. The film was released in 1995. This is the big screen remake of the Michael Mann TV film, LA Takedown.
This film is about two men with conflicting lives. Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino) is a cop and Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) is expert thief. They both have problems in their social lives, but when it comes to their jobs, they are both professionals.
When a robbery that McCauley and his team ... ...the trail of McCauley and attempts to hunt him down. A cat and mouse game ensues between the two men, each as determined as the other.
The supporting cast includes Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, Jon Voight, Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman. All of these actors give great performances especially Natalie Portman.
This is a very memorable film thanks to the long awaited scene between Pacino and De Niro. The two actors are perfect in their roles as men who ...

Advantages: Best crime thriller ever!!! Disadvantages: No extras on the DVD
Heat was a reamake of LA Takedown, released in the mis 1908s (I hadnt actually seen it), but after watching just had to.
The cast of Heat is fantastic with De Niro and Pacino commanding, and I say commanding, centre stage. Add add Val Kilmer, Jon Voight and a few other well known actors and you hae the receipe for a quality flick.
It is easy to put this film into your typical cops and bad guys category, but Heat goes a lot further - you get to ... ...at the same time a lonely and sometimes vunerable man. On the flip side you see Pacino an a cop 'on the edge', estranged from his ex wife and chasing down robbers like De Niro. This gives the film a sort of quality not often see in action films. You feel for both De Niro and Pacino in their respectives roles as criminal and cop. The pace of the film is not as fast and as violent as other action films so you get a chance to see the characters in their ...

Advantages: Excellent sound and soundtrack with top notch acting Disadvantages: dissapointing ending
The whole atmosphere and feeling of the movie is very reminiscent of Miami Vice and Michael Mann has done a good job of combining thrilling story with exciting action and atmospheric sound track.
Both Al Pacino and are brilliant in there opposing roles Al Pacino playing a cop on the edge and --- playing a bad guy who at first seems to have it all under control.
The bank heist scene Is the highlight of the film and with a 5.1 surround system on ...

The producer of this film had a fantastic idea. To combine the acting skills of two old master, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. They are what make this film. A fantastic storyline, these two are enemies, one a cop, the other a criminal. Can Pacino stop De Niro's plans?. The action scenes this film are fast and furious, including the experience of former Batman Val Kilmer. Guns and explosions are commonplace. The film also includes an essence of pshycological ...

Despite this flic being a couple of years old now, it is fantastic and made exactly out of the material action films should be made out of. There is a lot of plotting going on and the film culminates in THE best shoot-out scene I have ever seen. The whole idea of the two ageing heros seems possible and Val Kilmer is a useful and handsome addition to make a trio. They steal an awful lot of money and you will be gripping your neighbour to see whether ...
