...flicking through the channels and Happy Gilmore was just about to start on one of the Sky Movie channels. So we decided that we needed a good laugh and settled down on the sofa to watch Sandler's genius at work.
You can get this on Amazon UK for as little as £2.98 brand new. As always, my advice would be to shop around. If you don't mind buying a second hand copy, I'm sure Ebay would have some really cheap bargains to be had as well!

HAPPY LEARNT HOW TO PUT…….
Happy Gilmore is quite simply one of the funniest comedies ever made. True, it may not be to everyone's taste, but not even the most miserable git among us should be able to go through the film without breaking a smile. When I first saw the film I didn't expect anything from it. A film about golf cannot be the most appealing choice of any cinema goer, but it has to be said that this film even gives Caddyshack ...

****Story line****
Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) is a wannabe ice hockey player that keeps getting cut from the team. Whilst he has the ability to really strike the puck and power it off the penalty spot, he does not have the other necessary skills, such as skating, required for hockey. His biggest downfall is his inability to control his violent temper.

IT AINT HAPPY GILMORE, ITS HAPPY ME ME ME! Thats right, HAPPY ME! This film is brilliant so after you've watched it (If I can pursuade you to do so!) it'll be HAPPY YOU YOU YOU!
I have watched this movie many a time since my dads a retired footballer, now professional golfer!!! (The film is based on golf!) The film was released all the way back in 1996 so is getting on quite a bit now! This film is incredibly funny and also very stupid but great ...

...science. The reason I love Happy Gilmore so much is the fact that it just never gets old every time I watch it I end up in stitches and I always hear something that I didn't catch last time.
The film is all a bout young man, Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler), who fancies himself as a NHL pro and despite the major problem of him being rubbish at ice hockey he isn't deterred and turns up for the trials held at his local stadium every year.

...so bad) and most recently Happy Gilmore. Starring Hollywood’s flavour of the month, Adam Sandler as the eponymous hero, ‘Happy Gilmore’ is a worthy addition to the ‘genre’, being both funny whilst maintaining a sense of ‘family’ fun about it rather than decending into toilet humour for some cheap laughs(well not too often anyway). OK, so its not the most intelligent film around, but it certainly worth watching ...

Happy Gilmore is one of my many favourite comedies and it is one of Adam Sandler’s first films. In this he plays a wannabe Ice-Hockey player who has got a mean slap shot, but cannot skate to save his life, and therefore never gets picked at the tryouts. One day, by chance, he gets a hold of a golf club and manages to drive a ball 400 yards, gets spotted by a golf pro who wants to teach him and enters a competition which gets him into the pro golf ...

Advantages: laugh a minute how ever many times you watch! Disadvantages: none!
Happy Gilmore, one of Adam Sandler’s earlier releases, is slightly toned down when compared to some of his other films, such as ‘Billy Madison’ or ‘The Water Boy’. For most people this will be a sigh of relief, and for good reason. This side of Sandler is definitely my favourite. Happy Gilmore is full of cocky remarks and brilliant one-liners that could only be pulled off by the man himself.
Happy is a frustrated twenty-something ...

...waterboy with a sort of happy ending fairy story. This film will have u laffing until u almost wet urself. The jokes and slapstick humour fly at u so fast it is hard to keep up. Happy (sandler) is a hockey player who cant skate, but has the hardest hit, when he reaches the puck. Through fortune he becomes a world champion golfer due to his incredible driving. He however has obviously had no formal training which makes for some pretty funny moments. ...

Adam Sandler fans, you know what Im talking about right? If you like geeky, immature and very very funny comedies then PLEASE try this. Adam Sandler plays the starring role of a young guy that is desperate to play Ice hockey although he is really really bad at skating. He trys out for the team every year, and its not until by accident he realises that his talents belong elsewhere....Golf. OK, OK, at the mention of Golf I hear many of you groan, ME ...

Advantages: Funny, Original, Great Acting, Feel Good Film. Disadvantages: None
Happy was born to play hockey, unfortunately he was born with no skill for the game. He holds two records in hockey; most time spent in the penalty box, and he was the only player to take off his skate and try to stab someone with it.
This is a great film, a failure at hockey becomes a success in golf, a sport he thinks is for wimps and losers. Happy meets his coach Chubbs Peterson, when he is making money from hitting the ball and betting with ...

Advantages: Very funny, Sandler doing what Sandler does best Disadvantages: Unoriginal plot
Happy Gilmore is a comedy made in 1996 and is co-written and stars the, then, relatively unknown Adam Sandler.
Sandler plays the titular Happy Gilmore, a man who loves his ice hockey and would love to play for a team, but there's just one problem: he can't skate. He's tried out again and again to no avail. Meanwhile, his grandmother, who raised him, has been put in a retirement home because she can't pay her taxes and so her home is foreclosed, ...
