IT AINT HAPPY GILMORE, ITS HAPPY ME ME ME! Thats right, HAPPY ME! This film is brilliant so after you've watched it (If I can pursuade you to do so!) it'll be HAPPY YOU YOU YOU! Starring Hollywood’s flavour of the month, Adam Sandler as the eponymous hero, ‘Happy Gilmore’ is a worthy addition to the ‘genre’, being both funny whilst maintaining a sense of ‘family’ fun about it rather than decending into toilet humour for some cheap laughs(well not too often anyway). Happy Gilmore is one of my many favourite comedies and it is one of Adam Sandler’s first films. In this he plays a wannabe Ice-Hockey player who has got a mean slap shot, but cannot skate to save his life, and therefore never gets picked at the tryouts. One day, by chance, he gets a hold of a golf club and manages to drive a ball 400 yards, gets spotted by a golf pro who wants to teach him and enters a competition which gets him into the pro golf ... Happy Gilmore, one of Adam Sandler’s earlier releases, is slightly toned down when compared to some of his other films, such as ‘Billy Madison’ or ‘The Water Boy’. For most people this will be a sigh of relief, and for good reason. This side of Sandler is definitely my favourite. ...waterboy with a sort of happy ending fairy story. This film will have u laffing until u almost wet urself. The jokes and slapstick humour fly at u so fast it is hard to keep up. Happy (sandler) is a hockey player who cant skate, but has the hardest hit, when he reaches the puck. Through fortune he becomes a world champion golfer due to his incredible driving. Adam Sandler fans, you know what Im talking about right? If you like geeky, immature and very very funny comedies then PLEASE try this. Adam Sandler plays the starring role of a young guy that is desperate to play Ice hockey although he is really really bad at skating.
