Critics are divided on Hannibal but a lot of them are comparing it to it's predecessor which is wrong as it's an entirely different film. Leceter has now ended up in Florence where he lives unknown and surrounded by some of the things he loves most such as art. The persona of Hannibal Lecter changes somewhat in this film, with him portrayed as somewhat of an intellectual, which he indeed is, but it highlights his "better side" (lets face it, there can't be a worse side to eating people, can there?!) with his love of fine foods, wines and music.
