My friend offered to drive us there and, upon realising he had already seen it, I suggested we see something else, to which he replied " Its alright I don't mind seeing this film twice." So when Thomas Harris's third book in the series, Hannibal, was released I read with sceptisism thinking that it would not live up to Silence of the Lambs. How wrong I was. With out doubt it is one of the most thrilling novels i have ever read. The effort and research that has gone into the book is truly amazing. ...next 10 months. Although somewhat dissapointed that Jodie Foster had refused her services for the sequel. Nevertheless i made sure i had tickets for the opening evening. My opinion of the film is that it does not live upto Silence of the Lambs in any way shape or form. Anthony Hopkins performance was as ever commendable but lacked the scare factor that he gave to silence of the lambs. His co-star howerver made much less of an impression in her potrayal ...
