Halloween is an American Independent horror film which was made in 1978. The film centres around events occuring in the fictional midwestern town of Haddonfield, Illinois on Halloween night.

Advantages: Gripping, white knuckle film Disadvantages: poor picture due to the date and budget
Halloween actually came from "Assault on Precinct 13" another one of John Carpenter films. But Assault on precinct 13 wasn't to be John Carpenters greatest hit. (We all know what his greatest film was wink wink). Halloween was shot in only 21 days back in 1978, with one of the smallest movie budgets ever $300.000 but one also with the greatest profit.
