...and you pretty much have Gone in 60 Seconds. So it’s not the most film but it’s still enjoyable to watch. After all, both Payback and Bullitt are good films. Vinney Jones has been promoted as having a big part in this film, but he really doesn’t do all that much. What there is a lot of are car chases, shouting and good music (Including Jane’s Addiction). I went to see Gone In 60 Seconds as I'd won some tickets from a local radio station. I wasn't that keen to tell you the truth, but I'm glad went now, just so I can advise others how not to waste thier time. When I walked into the cinema I expected wall to wall car chases throughout and in that respect I was disappointed. This film is not all out action but at no point was I bored because it had a great storyline and a great cast. The cars are incredible and it is a shame they didn't show each of them going flat out with ten police cars in pursuit but you can't have it all. Whilst the plot is not original (it is after all a remake!) and the car crashes are not exactly novel, there is something compelling about this film. 'Gone in 60 Seconds' isn't big on character development or gritty realism, but if you like fast cars and want some escapist fun that'll keep your right foot on the floor all the way home from the cinema, this is the film for you. First off - my opinion is blatantly biased because (1) I own a big American car, and (2) I am a petrol-head. This film has plenty of nice cars and lots of fast driving. Filled with action, it was roaring right from the start with loads of beautiful sports cars, some I can barely name.
