Advantages: Angelina Jolie Disadvantages: The Film
A Big budget, and a big load of rubbish, well what else can I say...It's a shame to see good actors and actres's like Nic Cage and Angelina Jolie wasting their talents in a film like this. The plot is obvious from the start, so there are no big suprises, you always know that they are going to get away with it. And Christopher Eccelston is the worst 'villain' I've ever seen,
This all action film will appeal to 'boy racers' who fancy themselves in ...

‘Gone In 60 Seconds’ is one of the most action packed movies in the business. You need to see it for yourself, to believe how good a film it is. It’s 2 hours of pure heart torment, with it’s up’s and downs along the story line you will know what I mean. The story line is one that completely fits with the selected cast, they all fit the part and also act the part as well. Dominic Sena is the miracle maker behind this ... ...to direct more top end films. Dominic Sena also directed ‘Con Air’ also starring Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage has what you might call ‘amazingly good acting skills’, he shows it all off in this great millennium movie. Year 2000 was thought to be the boost in special effect and it surely was. You can’t go wrong buying this on DVD, as it is packed with great car chases and extras. Also starring in this movie is Angelina ...

I went to see this film because of my interest in cars (unusual for a female) and I wasn't disappointed. Not only are there a great deal of nice cars but also a good storyline! The story is about a sort of ex-car theif (Nicolas Cage) who has to do that 'one last job' to help his brother who will probably be killed if he doesn't supply his quota of cars before the deadline. They plan to steal all of the cars and have several people helping including ... ...hours learning his one line but it was worth waiting for. He did play a great mute before that line. Surprisingly there aren't a great number of fast car chases for a film about cars, it's all saved until the end for one big one, which is great. If you are a car lover definately see this film, do not miss it! Of course if you are male you could also be going to see the film for Angelina Jolie, but for us, Nick Cage is not much to look at is he? Tremendous ...

ah it's Saturday afternoon, and since i have a spare few hours im gonna write my weekly report on the latest films out (that and any reason not to see "Snatch" geez it might have vinnie jones in it, hell it might be good! but im not heading to some over hyped film just because any paper says so...
Ah anyway I think we all know this kinda plot, boy meets girl, boy marries girl, boy & girl have two sons, one becomes a car thief, one becomes a bit ... ...the plot Cage for some reason is the best car thief around, even better!! he went away leaving his brother to mess up in his footsteps. True Nick Cage acting here! ah so the plot entails, the ickle brother gets up sh*t creek without a paddle leave St nick to come back and steal 50 rare cars before the remaining 72 hours are up.
Now while i can't stand the cardboard acting of desar old Cage and id swear id hit him one if I EVER SEE that piece where ...

Advantages: Fast cars driving fast. Disadvantages: Underuse of good acting talent.
This is a film that starts rip-roaringly fast and continues to keep this pace right up until the very last moment. If you are expecting long impressive car chases with extremely nice cars then this is the film for you.
Although the car chases are mind numbing I actually came away more impressed by the wide-ranging acting talent demonstrated. Nicolas Cage is once again on 'shining blue Mercedes' form and thankfully the filmmakers have made extra ... ...he does so well.
The only really disappointment is the relative absence of Angelina Jolie's character whom considering her previous experience is grossly under-used.
The film is funny, fast paced and complimented by some of the best acting I have seen at the movies in an action based drama for a very long time. ...

Advantages: A high intensity film Disadvantages: It has a crap ending
This film is a must see. The acting is great all the way through and it is reasonably easy to follow. The main part is taken on by Nicholas Cage. He plays the older brother of someone that has got into serious trouble. He used to be a car theif but gave it up to help to try and save his brother, but his brother still took up the crime. To help save his brother the character played by Nicholas Cage agrees to steal 50 cars and it ends up that they ... ...manage it? (thats a qustion that i'm not gonna answer you'll have to watch to fine out!)
There are many parts of the film that are funny and that are dangerous. There is alot of special affects that make the film what it is.
The only disappointment with the film is that the ending is a bit boring and unexpected (althought the rest of the film makes up for it!) ...

...days on the site.
Gone in 60 seconds received a panning from the critics who, as ever fail to understand why the public remain attached to Jerry Bruckheimer's brand of film. Bruckheimer, together with his late partner, Don Simpson pioneered the modern approach to the blockbuster with such films as Top Gun, wherein plot deficiencies and often weak dialogue were largely overlooked due to the sheer entertainment value of the product. Gone in 60 seconds ... ...entirely original idea, more a rehash of a 1960's Japanes movie - however, the basic premise - that the hero has to steal cars in a set time to avoid his brother suffering a rather gruesome fate is similar.
For his lead, Bruckheimer looked to Nicholas Cage, who also starred in his productions 'the Rock' and 'Con Air' - Cage plays retired car thief Randall 'Memphis' Raines, lured out of a retirement being spent teaching young kids go-karting to save ...

Advantages: Great cars! Disadvantages: I can't afford those cars!!!
Very racey and very sexy, and that's just the cars! An exciting storey about a brothers' love and his passion for cars, this film appealed to me primerily because i haven't seen a bad Nicholas Cage film! I wasn't disappointed. THe film is fast and exciting the whole way through and would appeal especially to car lovers, but also to anyone else! There is a love storey within, and the values of a broken family. There are some great scenes, the effects ...

Advantages: Fantastic action and cars!! Disadvantages: Lacks depth of plot.
Gone in 60 seconds is a good film, however the plot lacks the depth to keep those of us who do not find interest in fantastic cars, engrossed in the film for any length of time. The film is basically about how friends no matter the circumstances can pull together when they are required to, to help a friend.
I found the film really great, the final chase between Nicholas cage and the police was particulary spectacular. I would recommend this film ...

Advantages: Easy to watch fun Disadvantages: Wouldn't win any awards
Gone in 60 seconds is a great film, if you accept it for what it is and don't go to the cinema expecting great depth and multi-faceted characters.
This film is, purely and simply, about stealing cars. It's a high octane action film that keeps you on the edge of your seat with your adrenalin pumping (and I'm not a boy racer, I'm a sensible woman). Yes, it could be accused of glamourising car theft, but wasn't it said that Trainspotting glamourised ... ...enjoyed the heartpumping excitement of Gone in 60 seconds, and if you're the kind of person who enjoyed Smokey and the Bandit I'm sure that you'll enjoy it too. I'd urge anyone who's read bad reviews on this film to go and try it for themselves, if you don't expect too much from it I'm sure you'll be very pleasantly surprised. ...

...at a somewhat classic plot Gone in 60 seconds is a good film to

Advantages: good acting, nice cars, good action film Disadvantages: ending a bit drippy.
I really loved this film. I have seen it many times since I work at a cinema, and I dont think I could ever bore of it! Nick Cage plays the main man, Memphis Raines, and he has to save his brother, Kit Raines (in case anyone is friends fans, he played Phoebe's brother) who gets into some serious trouble by agreeing to steal 50 cars in a few days. It fouls up, and his big brother, a notorious car booster turns up to try to bail him out.
Angelina ... ...combination of looks and acting ability.
Vinnie Jones has a small part as a mute who is a pal of Memphis Raines, and helps as only he can!
Go and see this film soon, if you liked Bad Boys with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, you'll love this.
Plus, the soundtrack is amazing! Look out for Gomez' Machismo and Moby. ...

Advantages: Just 1 decent car chase Disadvantages: Everything else
Gone In 60 Seconds is a big dissappiontment. I thought I would be seeing a film with loads of car chases. Instead I saw a dreadful film with only one decent car chase. The highlight of the film, apart from the end credits was Mr. Vinny Jones' speech. It seems he will be Hollywoods next rent-a-hardman and good luck to him. Most fans of cars will love this but it is obvious that from the start it is a no brainer popcorn movie. Please don't go and see ...
