Advantages: 2 great films good family fun great cast Disadvantages: none
The first Ghostbusters was one of my favourite films growing up in the 80s and although i was still relatively young the firsy time i saw it i was suitable impressed.

Advantages: Really funny, cheap, special features, PG, everything in one Disadvantages: Apart from the 80's effects (which isn't really a disadvantage) I can't actually think of anything
...all knew what it meant!
Ghostbusters was introducted to me when I was a kid by my dad who loves the films. I think I loved it the first time I watched it, and have done ever since; so when I saw that you could get a boxset with both films, a couple of the cartoons and a little book with some stuff in about the making of the film, and the actors in it for a really good (and I mean REALLY good) price I had to buy it!
I'll reveiw the films here: Ghostbusters ... ...that's what you get in Ghostbusters 2, also in the boxset. The second film is as funny as the first, and contains more great one liners, proton packs and dancing toasters which you might not see in the first film.
I don't prefer either film, I love both, which is why this boxset is so great.
Along with this are two episodes of "The Real Ghostbusters" which feature Slimer more than in the films, but are quite cute and funny as cartoons go. And the ...

Ghostbusters II
After saving the world in the first adventure, the guys are back with a fourth member, Winston Zedmore, employed at the end of the first film when times were good. Now that all is quiet, the Ghostbusters are having to make guest appearances at kids parties to make ends meet, and things aren't going well. Dana from the first film, has another spooky experience, when the baby carriage carrying her son, Oscar, ... ...The Ghostbusters are sought to investigate the strange pink puddle of ooze found on the high street. Under the city is a river of this slime leading to the museum where Dana is working as an art restorer.
One particular painting, that of an ancient tyrant who hopes to make Manhattan his home. By possessing the body of young Oscar he hopes to reign his tyrany once again. Bad attitude within the city is creating more of this slime, and good vibes ...

...people who haven't seen the Ghostbusters films but for those who've never had the chance here's what it's about: three bumbling scientists investigating the paranormal are evicted from Columbia University and lose their grant. To prove their theories and make a living they decide to set up a ghost catching business. They set off with their own homemade (and untested) proton packs i.e. a nuclear power generator strapped to their backs. What follows ... ...to bring about the apocalypse. Ghostbusters II is just as fun to watch. After having saved New York from destruction the Ghostbusters find themselves out of business but eventually confronted once again with an enemy of apocalyptic proportions in the form of a painting possessed by the spirit of a long dead cruel Moldavian tyrant determined to return to the world of the living.
What makes the films shine is the presence of three great characters ...

Ghostbusters is a classic movie with a huge fanbase. Although initially released in 1984, the movie still holds its own today.
A very entertaining film indeed! Funny and heart warming are also words that spring to mind! Advantages: Both Ghostbusters in 1 box set Disadvantages: Surely there cant disadvantages where the Ghostbusters are concerned
Those Ghostbusting boys are back and now stronger than ever with both films in an amazing special edition box set.
