Advantages: Funny, well written comedy Disadvantages: Waiting for series 3.
...avid fan as soon as Gavin and Stacey appeared on our screens, as were many people, so was obviously overjoyed at my present.
So what is Gavin and Stacey about, i hear you shout. Well it's pretty much about two young people who meet, fall in love and get married, with plenty of ups and downs along the way.
It's a very well made British comedy. Written by James Corden and Ruth Jones, who also star in the comedy themselves. In my personal opinion, ... ...few British comedys lack what Gavin and Stacey has to offer, it has none of that dreadful canned laughter, and actually has a lovely story behind it, not none of this gag-after-gag-after-gag stuff. Gavin and Stacey has laugh out loud humour throughout, but then at the same time has very touching, warm moments. To be honest with you, it's easy to just read a script and say the lines out loud, anyone can do it, like i've seen on many other shows. But ...
