It's a thought many of us have. What would we do if we could change just one thing in our lives? Not buy that car? Not buy a pornographic magazine from the shop owned by you Mother-in-law? Not eat spaghetti on that first date? For me, it would have been back in primary school. I wouldn't have taken ALL my clothes off to change for P.E.. Frequency does not do much to describe the type of movie this is and may put people off seeing the movie. It is basically a thriller, full of twists, with a strong streak of science fiction running all the way through it. Recently released on Region 1 DVD from New Line Cinema it arrived on my doorstep this week. I got recommended this film a while back and got lent the DVD version so I thought I'd watch it one night when I had nothing else to do. I got told not to expect that much, but a pretty good film. I personally thought that was pretty naff advice, I really liked this action packed flik and would recommend this film to anyone thats heard of it. ...one as short as possible. Frequency is probably one of the less publicised movies last year, but the energy behind this movie is so great that it's very unfortunate that it didn't make it big. The concept/plot behind Frequency is apparently time travelling, changing past events and thus, the future, aren't new stuff in movie plots (witness: Back To The Future series and others) and Frequency does not make any new inroads into the genre. No, really. You see, if you hadn't decided to read this review, you would have instead looked at an opinion about Comet. Inspired by this, you would have eagerly visited the store, your head full of all the bargains that you had read about online. This is one of the best movies I've seen in the last year. A friend borrowed me a DVD with this movie, but I was never expected to have such a great movie experience. Honestly, I've never heard of this movie, but now it becomes one of my favourites. The idea of the screenplay is absolutely briliant. It's like a 10 times better "Back to the future". "Frequency" starring Dennis Quaid, and Jim Caviezel is an excellent feel-good movie. Jim Cavaziel plays a cop whose father died in a warehouse fire when he was a child. Dennis Quaid is his father. Well, this film was a little intersting. An original story line, but less spectacular on the screen. This film is more thought than action, which was probably only in the fire fighting scenes. I must admit, that talking to your own son in the future is a bit freaky, and probably a strange phenomena caused by some solar storms.
