The 2003 version of "Freaky Friday" is a remake of the 1977 original, which featured Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris. I have a soft spot for the original movie - it's one of those role reversal stories which came along before most of the others (in the 80s, around the time of "Big", it seemed like they were constantly being released, and I guess it will always be a Hollywood staple subject). I always viewed "Freaky Friday" as good family entertainment, ...

I've never seen the original Freaky Friday but when I saw the trailers in the cinema I thought this looked like it might by quite fun. As it turned out I didn't actually go to watch it at the cinema though, but I did watch it the other night (a friend had borrowed the DVD) and I was most pleasantly surprised. Being a Lindsay Lohan fan, I was looking forward to the release of this film. Some of my friends were a lot less optimistic, claiming that it might just be another cliche movie about a daughter and mum that fight like cats and dogs. But their minds were changed once they watched it, and the film did not disappoint! Lindsay has gone from strength to strength in her acting career, and this is one of the films that has helped her to grow as an actress. ...
