Advantages: its on tv all the time, great characters, great story, funny Disadvantages: andie macdowell is in it (blurgh) and "Love Is All Around" (bigger blurgh!)
...summed up with one certain four letter F word, repeated over and over, in a posh English accent, as Charles and his sister Scarlett (the late Charlotte Coleman) struggle to get ready for the first wedding after sleeping in! I know a lot was made about this the first time Channel Four was going to show it on tv - various people wanted the opening scene to be cut out - but it is a GREAT scene. So funny.

Advantages: A brillant film, good acting.... Disadvantages: none.....
...their loved ones getting married, Four Weddings has characters who grudgingly show up at weddings and bemoan their continued single status. At first Charles appears happy to be dysfunctional, but later, you understand that he has chosen the single life more out of fear than a desire to remain free. Then, when he finally decides he's found the girl of his dreams, the story dips into sentimentality, but not overtly.
Charles (Hugh grant) attends ...

Advantages: Touching, funny, almost 'Black-commedic' Disadvantages: Could have chosen one or two better actors in the cast.
I will spare you the plot, I will just get right to the dirt.
This film STILL makes me laugh after at least two dozen viewings. The characters are rich and unique, and have a great chemistry with one another.
BUT, I must say, why Andy McDowell? She is the weak link in the film. At one point, one of the characters in the film comments on how Carrie (McDowell's character) is such a charming woman. I STILL cringe when I hear that. Absolutely NOT. ...

Advantages: Brilliant characters and storyline. Disadvantages: Disappointing special features.
This film was released in 1994 and is a romantic comedy/drama starring the hugely popular Hugh Grant, and American actress; Andie MacDowell. The story follows the life of Charles (Grant) and his colourful, upper class British friends. Wondering if he will ever find the right woman, Charles finally thinks he has in Carrie (MacDowell) at a wedding he and his friends attend. Just when things seem to be going rather swimmingly, Carrie reveals to Charles ...

...is a detailed account of four weddings and a funeral (unsurprisingly). It is seen through a loveless geek who has not had the most success in the love department, fittingly played by Hugh Grant (was that harsh of me to say that?).
The film follows Hugh through the events meeting many differnt characters, the main one being and American heart throb, not so fittingly played by Andy MacDowel.
Will Hugh ever marry and who's funeral will it be for? ...

Advantages: Funny, Witty and sad Disadvantages: Most people must have seen it by now
I really like this film. It is a comedy so it is not meant to be taken seriously and this does a great job of simply amuse you and gives you some good laughs. I first watched it in a full Leicester Square cinema when it first was released and the entire cinema was laughing out loud and as I left everyone was chattering saying THAT WAS GREAT it was SO FUNNY etc etc.. That is a good movie in my opinion if everyone watching it for the first time comes ...

When this movie came out it was a smash hit.
Who would of ever thought that a group of friends would all be hitched and one die in the space of a couple of weeks!
It’s a nice easy watching comedy that tickles your gooey bits inside, especially when Hugh Grant can’t seem to get those words ‘I Love You’ out of his mouth!
The characters are funny and Rowan Atkinson does a fine job of being the marriage celebrant!

Hmmm, I must say I was a little disappointed after watching this film, I guess I am a little behind, watching in 2006 but I was still expected a little bit more from what is known to be a British classic!
The film begins with Hugh Grant, (Charles in the movie), turning up extremely late to his best friends wedding where he is best man. He commits all the classical things a best man should NOT do like forgetting the rings at home. I guess there ...

Although im not a fan of hugh grant as an actor I can honestly say that this film is one i could watch atleast one a month without getting bored, or annoyed at his poor acting skills. This role suits him down to the ground.
Hugh grant who plays charles is a single male who has had a string of girlfriends in the past no of which were serious . His friends have started down the matrimonial road, but not Charles. Thoughts of spending the rest of his ...
