In the middle of 2005 I heard about this film called "Serenity", a story set on a space ship yet it seemed to have cowboys in it. At first I thought what on earth is going on!? I couldnt get enough of this series, unfortunately there isnt much of it. only half a usual US run with 14, episodes but no less quality in terms of production and style. The actors /characters quickly get under your skin and the plot lines are fun twists on traditional cowboy themes. I'll be honest and admit before this show I had never checked out much of Joss Whedon's work. I'd heard of him but in my age group, it was hard not to have heard of him. ...that unless you've seen the Firefly series the film won't make much sense to you. Firefly series? This I had to see. At first I was a bit apprehensive. Josh Whedon was responsible for Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I really couldn't stand that series, especially in the later series'.
