The scene is a few hundred years into the future, after the browncoats (resistance) lost the battle of Serenity, two of its members sarted up a ship to go wherever they pleased, and to make a new life. The characters which make an appearance in every episode are introduced in the pilot (as usual), and it goes on from there to show anything ...

This film has all the qualities of a brilliant tv series; a brilliant cast, excellent one liners and a sustained theme, but none of the downsides like repetetiveness or poor script.
