I've never really been one for biopics. For example, I avoided Will Smith's "Ali" like the plague despite a deep respect and admiration for it's subject. Finding Neverland is a somewhat factual almost psychological attempt at looking at the origins of JM Barrie's Peter Pan world. However all this is buried beneath the extraordinary imagination and magic of the Peter Pan world which the film portrays. ...on every copy of the Finding Neverland DVD. It is likely you will be in tears at the end, so therefore if you don't like weepies, or fairy stories for that matter, this film isn't going to be for you. However, if you're a true Peter Pan fan who likes magic and imagination, then I thoroughly recommend it to you. If nothing else this film is a true celebration of one of the world's most loved stories, and you don't need to be a child to appreciate it. ... Read review

I went to see this film yesterday, and in a way, I'm glad I did actually go to see it. It hasn't been an overly popular film at my local cinema, and my presence was graced by only 2 other individuals at the show. As many other reviewers have stated, the story centres around the author JM Barrie and his creative journey bringing Peter Pan to life ... from the inspirations for the characters (the four fatherless sons of Sylvia Llewelyn-Davies) to it's First Night performance.
