...can be answered by watching Finding Nemo.
The Characters
Normally at this point I would describe the character performances, but everything besides the voices are provided courtesy of CGI, and very well crafted they are. To create the characters they have taken a variety of aquatic life forms and gave them somewhat human facial expressions e.g. Marlin who’s always worrying has actually got frown lines. It’s also good how they gave ...

...of 3D cartoon animation and Finding Nemo is quite possibly the most beautifully animated Pixar film yet! Compared to the other Pixar films, Finding Nemo has adopted a fantastic blend of cartoon (for the fish and other characters) and realism (for the sea and its plant life) which is stunning to look at. The film as a whole is an incredible expanse of beauty and colour and every piece of coral and each speck of sunlight on the ocean surface is drawn ...

...to a preview screening of Finding Nemo on Wednesday night and I've seen a few clips of the film on tele and it looks great, so armed with my seven year old I decided to go and see if it was possible for it to be even better than my favourite animation - the hilarious 'A Bugs Life'.
Finding Nemo was created by those clever bods at Disney/Pixar who's previous offerings include 'Toy Story 1 & 2', Monsters Inc and A Bugs Life. To make their films ...

Advantages: Lovely characters, good story, a fun film Disadvantages: Not quite so much adult appeal as previous Disney/Pixar offerings
“Finding Nemo” is the latest animated blockbuster from Disney and Pixar, the team who brought us “Toy Story”, “A Bug’s Life” and “Monsters Inc”. I’ve been a big fan of this type of film ever since I saw the first “Toy Story” movie, so I was keen to see “Finding Nemo” and I recently borrowed it from a colleague.
This undersea adventure tells the story of Marlin, a clownfish, and his quest to find his only son, Nemo, who has gone missing. Nemo is ...

...to watch Pixar's latest film, Finding Nemo. My friend wanted to see Cabin Fever, but I stood my ground, and it paid off - I loved every minute of it!
The film is centred around, obviously, Nemo. Before Nemo (Alexander Gould), a young clownfish, was born, his mother and siblings were eaten by a shark, and as a result, his father Marlin (Albert Brooks) is extremely protective of his only surviving son. On the first day of school, the pair argue over ...

The film is about a little clown fish called Nemo who, one day gets snatched from the ocean by a dentist. He is placed in a fish tank with other breeds of fish where he makes friends and they hatch a plan to escape together. On the other side of the ocean his dad goes on ...

I missed Finding Nemo at the cinema, and when I first saw the DVD I have to admit I wasn't overly impressed. However, I was given the DVD for my 19th (a good, grown-up gift), and was immediately struck by the pretty, shiny box (easily pleased?) cover of the 2-disc collector's edition. I watched the film again and was hooked.
I'm sure most readers will know the story by now, so only a very short precis...

...film of all time. Finding Nemo has to be another masterful piece of family entertainment from Pixar, who created films such as A Bugs Life, Toy Story, Incredibles, etc.

I'm a grumpy old man.
I wasn't expecting much - anything which gets as much hype as 'Finding Nemo' is bound to be rubbish - right? - WRONG!
I must admit my credentials at this stage, as an adult having been forced to watch every Disney, Don Bluth and MGM animated film released in the past twelve years,
I reckon I've seen most of it all before - the relentless build up on TV and radio, the twenty minutes of unbearable adverts in the cinema ...

...disappointed by the finished article! Finding Nemo is, as with all Pixar offerings, exceptionally well drawn, animated and directed so I will leave the ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaaahhs’ about all that stuff until later on (as they were worth commenting on!). Aside from that this was a classic film from the new wave of Disney films sweeping across the cinema landscape. The traditional basic moral of the story type thing is heavy-handedly hammered home to the audience ...
