I am an extremely large fan of this film!I've put off writing an opinion because i didn't think i could do it justice. But, now i'm going to try so bare with me please!
I'll start of by telling you the story. It centres around a group of students who are going on their first trip abroad to Paris, with the school they attend.Everything seems to be going alright until Alex(Devon, lately seen as Eminem in the video for Stan) dreams when on the plane ... ...find his friends saying exactly the same things he dreamt. This is enough to un nerve him as i'm sure it would be for me and he runs off the plane, taking along with him, the tough american football guy who tries to fight with him, his girlfriend, a teacher, a boy who just got in the way,(American Pie and Road Trip, you know the one!)his best friend, and a girl who has never even really talked to him but felt the urge to follow him. Everything Is ...

Final Destination is a great film for the beleivers of the philosophy that we humans are all here for a reason and that there is a greater power controlling our lives. In this case, the greater power controls death and the task of the characters is to work out death and try to cheat it. I was intrigued by this film and there are some excellent special effects and edge-of-your-seat moments. The only part of the film that i was dissapointed with was ...

Advantages: unpredictable, entertaining, provides thought on life and fate. Disadvantages: Acting is not of standard to which the film is
My first thoughts about seeing this film was as to whether or not it was going to be another teen horror movie, which lacked the originality of scream. How I was wrong! This film was genuinely more scarier than either of the last summer sagas or the scream trilogy, in which the elment of surpirse and shock does provide a gripping experience for the viewer. The story tells of a group of teenagers attending a school trip to paris via flight 182, in ... ...off. This bad dream results in a comotion and a group of the high school pupils being escorted off the plane where they watch in horror as it explodes in mid air. However their relief at dodging death, is short lived after they realise that death now wants revenge and is coming after them to give them their rightful birth in a coffin.
The film is a true original classic and one of the most chilling I've seen, providing many heart stopping moments. ...

Advantages: Truly awesome film Disadvantages: not for the easily scared
...next, not the case with Final Destination, what you thought was going to happen could not have been further from the truth.
This film had me on the edge of my seat all the way through, and honestly I wish they had kept it going for about 3 hours and there was never once that I felt bored.
I would however advise that although the film is a 15 certificate (there is not huge amounts of gore) the film is extremely nerve tingling and may not be right ... ...All in all I have to say this is a film you could watch again and again and still find amazing, the plot works extremely well, wether its my visions or not I could actually see the film being real in some paranormal way. You can just imagine fate saying "hang on a minute this is not right, I will make this right". ...

Alex is a teenager. He, his school class and two teachers begin a field trip to France. However, sitting on the plane, Alex had a real life premonition of a disatser involving the plane. He gets off the plane. As do six others, including one teacher. As they sit and watch the plane take off, they must surely be pleased they got off, when they see the plane blow up! Every person on board is killed - All of Alex's school friends, and the rest of the ... ...death, they all begin to try to get on with their lives. The remaining teacher simply can't and decided to move. Every good memeory has been over turned by the haunting memories of her close shave to death. But as she prepares to move, she becomes victim number 3 of the 'death trail'. Number four is not quite what you think as the car is perched of a railway with a train steaming fast towards it. Teen horrors like Scream and I Know... have never really been my cup of tea. But this one seemed to have some strange appeal to me. And to be honest, I think it was those corny adverts. Blatantly it's never going to make you launch out of your seat in fright and there's no cinema of people who could ever scream together like that, but the ad certainly had be wanting to go and find out what it was all about. And it's good. It's really well directed, ... ...got some excellent surprise timing, and while I don't want to spoil the film before you go and see it (which you should), I'm thinking the bus scene. Anyway, the effects and the ideas are clever, and new, which is a nice surprise considering how you might feel this genre has been worn out. There are some bits which don't quite make sense (the blue water on floor scene) but the plot is definitely exciting and well-written, concerning a kid who has ...

Advantages: Makes you jump - Exciting - Extremely gripping Disadvantages: Obvious in some places
Final Destination is a fanastic film! It is one of the few films that will actually make you jump, and for most people that is a good thing. The story is good although slightly weird in places it keeps you going. It is cleverly done and thought out by the writer and they deaths are, well, different!. I don't know how many times it make you jump but I guarantee you that you will at least a few times. You are on the edge of your seat not knowing what ... ...The actors in the film are incredibly good. They give you the real sense of fear as it would be like in the situations they were in. The pure body language given off tells you they really are in the situations (not literally!)
The story is that 40 students are going on a trip to France but when they get on the plane one of them freaks out thinking the plane is going to crash after dreaming about it. He makes such a scene that he is chucked off the ...

Advantages: It's originality Disadvantages: It's bloodshed could prove too much for some viewers
...inferior imitations of Scream, but Final Destination proves that there is still territory left to cover. Original, intriguing, thought provoking; this movie is essential to any horror fan’s video collection. The plot is centred round a group of teenagers that escape a fatal plane crash after one of them (Devon Sawa) has a vision of the plane going up in smoke. Days later the survivors begin to die in mysterious circumstances as Death takes ... ...to the others to save themselves. What makes this movie different is that you’re not left trying to guess who the murderer is and for what warped, twisted reason their motive is. Instead the anticipation comes from how each character is going to be killed off and in what sequence. Strangely compelling, this film ensures that no matter what gory end the characters meet, you are unable to tear your eyes away from the action. And the fact that ...

...But I can safely say final destination will make you think and (worry) about your own fate and what life’s secrets really may be. When Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) and his classmates are preparing to take a trip to Paris, he starts seeing weird things, and just before take off, he has a horrible vision of the plane exploding. And after he comes to, he experiences major deja vu and freaks out, getting him and 5 others thrown off the plane. And ... ...or at least let out some type of unsettling noise. You should see this film, but just be prepared to be a little bit disappointed with the ending, but the ending does give you the final answer to the riddle. This film has an 18 certificate. ...

Advantages: Very funny, gory and lots of pretty teenage heart throbs (for both sexes) Disadvantages: Not that scary (except maybe the odd jump)
Final Destination, scary....not really, funny, slick and way over the top....you betcha. This film was great fun, a well thought out concept, that worked really well. The whole you can't cheat death thing was creepy, but the long drawn out elaborate and gory death scenes were just laugh out loud funny, particularly the teacher's ridiculously complicted demise and the best decapatation for a fair few years. The end is a bit silly and seems to make ...

Advantages: One scary mother of a movie Disadvantages: n/a
The story goes that a gang of teenagers and their teacher are thrown off a plane because one of them sees a vision of the aeroplane crashing and causes a scene on the aircraft. The rest of the film is about them being picked off one by one because they cheated fate once, and fate wants them back. The film is full of clues and visions of the next victims but you will not be ready for what comes next. As Kenny Everett would say "...but I'm telling ... ...only keeps you on the edge of your seat for it's full length, for part of the time you will probably be approx 3 feet in the air as you jump at the suddeness of the death scenes. I wanted to see this as the hype was over the top but in a good way. I saw it in the cinema and boy the start was amazing, Aeroplane exploding the lot. Brill. After that the film went down hill an invisable assasin that can make the things that it used to them disappear.
There is no way anyone should by this film it is so poor, although one thing I will say IS worth watching is the Bus Scene but I won't spoil it for anyone just watch that, scared ...

Advantages: Great Death Scenes, Acting and Scares Disadvantages: None
Final Destination is the best out of all the teen slasher movies. This one just gets to the point and has a unique twist - there is no killer. It is about cheating death and how if you do cheat it then you will be stalked by death. There is a lot more action than the likes of Scream and so has a greater pace yet the characters are still well developed.
The DVD presents this great film in crystal clear picture and sound and adds plenty of good special ...

...edge of your seat throughout, Final Destination is a film about a group of teenagers from the US who are going to France on a trip. One of them has a preminition about the plane exploding, so gets off it with his friends. Then it blows up. Kindof freaky, yes. But then Death stalks each of the group that escaped the doomed flight and one by one kills them in a funny yet gory way (apart from the bathtub, that wasn't funny at all). Great stuff. Go and ...

Advantages: Not a bad idea Disadvantages: Not lived up to the expectations
Final Destination is one of those films that sets up quite a cunning idea, but then fails to live up to your expectations.
The basic story is of a teenage guy who is due to fly to France with his schoolmates, when he has a premonition that
the plane is going to explode. Needless to say, this freaks him out somewhat, and he leaves th plane, witha few mates in tow. A few minutes after take off the plane goes boom. Strange things then start to happen ... ...American Teen Death films are never subtle - but then the target audience are undemanding.
This was a film that I really wanted to like, because I thought the idea was very good, but in the end I was disappointed. I doubt I'll be watching the inevitable Final Destination 2. ...
