The main plotline of Final Destination is that a schoolkid, Alex Browning (played by Devon Sawa) has a premonition of a plane exploding whilst he is waiting for the plane to take off. He manages to get himself, a few of his friends and a teacher off the plane. They are watching it go when the inevitable happens...the plane explodes. Seen the TV ad for Final Destination? Don't let if put you off. I thought it was a bit over done and just a load of yanks jumping out of their seats. But when it came to actually sitting in the cinema, that was me! I watched this twice at the cinema and the second time was just as good as the first. A very creepy and scary point of view at life and a film which will make everyone jump in their seats. The death scenes are rather graphic and deserve applause but you need a good stomach to be able to hold it in. With a good performance by the actors and actresses but a rather slow start to the film, the action lasts to the very end and can leave you wondering ...

This film is all about the unexpected. You think one things gonna happen then suddenly BAM! - another thing happens. The idea is based around fate, and without giving anything away, about trying to manipulate fate. The 'jumpy' scenes are extremely well made, and the expectancy - or unexpectancy - has you on the edge of your seat for the duration. Well what can I say.... I didnt really know what to expect when I went to see this film a month ago. Saw clips of the film on the tv which were very catchy and made you want to see the film but it never went into great deal as to what the film was really about so it really kept you in suspense! On the whole, I thought the film was absolutely brilliant from start to finish although very predictable... you knew when something was going to happen and ...

...the cinema to take in Final Destination. I had seen the ad's, and it was more a morbid fascination that had bought me to this point, was this film really THAT scary? Or were those people throwing popcorn over each other in the ad's a bunch of actors? This film is THAT scary. Having seen Final Destination on the big screen a while ago and enjoyed it, I decided to buy the DVD when it hit the shops. On balance it was a worthwhile purchase for the extra features alone. The film is a tongue in cheek ‘kismet’ yarn, very unlikely really but an engaging teeny horror flick with some decent twists and good special effects. The basic story revolves around 7 young people who have cheated death and death is having none ...
...vivid premonition on boarding a flight, he sees the plane crashing and he and his friends perish. He tries to convince, in rabid fashion, his fellow passengers that the plane is going to crash and they must all disembark before the plane takes off. This forces you to suspend reality, Alex and 6 others get off the plane and it promptly takes off….with their luggage. I found the story predictable and cannot understand why some poeple say it made them jump. Ive only just seen Final Destination on video so i dont know what its like when you have surround sound and a huge screen. However that DIDNT spoil the film for me. It was amazing. I must say I was very disappointed with myself for being scared by such a tacky film. It's your average teen horror movie where you can predict the ending before you've even got to the cinema. The story is about a boy who's going on a field trip to France with his class of forty by plane. He's very superstitious about flying. I saw Final Destination on film last night and found it a really wierd film! It is a horror film that starts off very well but then becomes a very predictable and scary film. It follows the line of a typical horror film, an incident occurs and then everyone has their 'turn' to die.
