Advantages: Interesting story Disadvantages: Predictable
Final Destination was said to be a very scary movie by all my friends. When I saw it I couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about??? It was barely scary, and only one part made me jump.
The film I thought was a little bit too predictable, knowing when what was going to happen next. The way it was written made a thinker like me be able to guess what was next simply by the characters actions and thoughts, as well as the camera shots.
Overall ...

Hi,
Final Destination is one of those films that keeps you hooked for the whole time it is on. Me and my Sister went to see it at the cinema and where overly impressed. We heartly recommend it to any one - apart from those with a weak heart !
It certainly meets all my expectations as a horror film and is just as jumpy as scream - the script is even better.

Advantages: Really scary Disadvantages: Misleading tv adverts
I was a little disappointed when I saw this as I had saw the tv adverts claiming that this film would make you jump out of your skin but I didn't jump once when I saw this. Sure it was scary but not jumpy like the adverts had claimed, I also found it quite humorous in a way like at the end. I won't tell you what happened at the end as you'll have to go and see it and find out for yourselves. It is about a group of adults from america who go to go ...

Advantages: cool film Disadvantages: puts you off some things
I saw this film the first day it came out and found it to be brilliant. It was totally unpredictable and scary in places. If you've even got the slightest reservation about flying then don't watch the film it's enough to put any1 off!!! Although there is one thing from this film that has made me think twice about listning to and thats John Denver songs!!! You have to watch the film to know why!!! so what are you waiting for?... get down there and ...

Advantages: Shocking, original, really interesting deleted scenes. Disadvantages: Perhaps a little graphic in places. Possibly best not to watch on your own.
...a wealth of extras. Most notably, by far the best collection of missing scenes I've ever scene in that they essentially give you two films with completely different final messages.
The games are a little disturbing to say the list but I'll leave it to you to discover why. ...

Advantages: Laugh out loud moments when someone gets hit by a bus/ killed at the very end. Disadvantages: Pretty bad plot
“Final Destination” has quite a few things going for it. A good looking and talented group of actors, for a start. A big budget enables some nice special effects and stunts ( plane crashing, large objects falling and killing people etc. ). An obviously talented make-up department allows several horrific deaths to be executed ( no pun intended ) realistically. The plot is sufficient enough to allow for a lot of tension and some scary moments. However, ... ...well to scrutiny. The characterisation is adequate, just good enough for us to care about the people involved but not much more. It doesn’t help that people often get killed off before we have a chance to get to know them very well. Such, however, is the nature of films such as “Final Destination” ( the “Scream” trilogy and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movies are much in the same vein ) so I’m not complaining too much. If you want to get a little ...

Advantages: Fun and interesing Disadvantages: Not as scary as one would hope.
This film in my opinion was a corker. One of the best shock flicks for a while. The fear is held suitably through out the duration of the film although you have to realise that it is a fear of what might happen rather than "I'm too afraid to watch" type fear. Basically its not that scary. The scares come sharp and infrequently and in places are almost comical. The plot of the film however is not that great. A bunch of kids should have died and spend ... ...said the story does not require a lot of plot. In summary, go and watch it...its great fodder that will raise your heart rate and make you tread slightly more carefully by the time you leave the theatre. However, all this said you will either love or hate it, I loved it but others have really disliked it. Perhaps their hopes were too high.?
p.s. Dont go flying directly after the film. ...

Advantages: Great cinematography, keeps you engaged Disadvantages: Not surprisingly, rather gruesome
...a hell of a ride. Final Destination is not for the faint hearted, the squeamish or those afraid of flying. From the director of ‘Space: Above and Beyond’ comes a cinematographic masterpiece that will have you gripping your seat until the end.
Alex is all set to go on a trip to Paris with his French class, when suddenly he begins to perceive an inordinate amount of ‘bad omens’ to do with flying: his mum tearing his ‘lucky’ ... ...the radio (remember how he died?)... After a serious premonition, he fights his way off the plane followed by five of his classmates and a teacher, only to watch the plane explode minutes after take-off.
Having ‘cheated death’ the survivors go back to their lives… but not for long. As the bizarre, gruesome ‘accidents’ begin, Alex starts to form a theory about ‘Death’s Design’, and begins to formulate ...

Advantages: excellent film with good additional features on DVD Disadvantages: none
Final destination will have you leaping out of your seat with fright, definitely a film where what actually happens isn't what you think is going to happen.
Briefly without giving too much away Alex has a premonition that the plane he and his fellow school chums are on, will crash. After telling everyone of this on the plane and being ejected with 6 others they must face a delay in getting another flight. As they wait in the departure lounge they ... ...it explodes before their very eyes. The premonition scene of the crash is very scary and i wouldn't advise watching this if you are about to go on holiday!
The film unfolds with Alex having more premonitions surrounding himself and the 6 other survivors and will keep you gripped to the seat throughout. Definitely the best scary film i've seen and the DVD has excellent additional features including:-
Deleted scenes
Featurette on premonitions
Theatrical ...

Advantages: edge of your seat stuff Disadvantages: weak ending
...film genre was getting stale Final Destiantion comes along. This is different from the rest as there is no real killer just the premise of death having a design mapped out for every person. The plane crash scene is just the start as this film really turns up the tension and suspense. Every major scene has an outcome which you can see coming but somehow you never know when, this makes for some real edge of yuor seat stuff. There is one death which ...

Advantages: Stunning sequences, superbly paced and directed Disadvantages: It doesn't really offer anything new
...been any better than ordinary... Final Destination proves to be something of an exception.
This is certainly superior to many in the teen horror genre... the basic story follows Alex Browning who has a premonition that the plane that he and his classmates are on is going to crash... in his ensuing desperation to get off the plane several other students and a teacher also leave the doomed airplane. The survivors of the crash are then stalked by fate... ... ...crash. Cue some gruesome deaths and some amusing and thrilling action.
What makes the movie better than the usual mish-mash is the superb sequences of the various events and deaths. The plane crash at the start is superb and the build up to all the deaths is bordering on sadism to the audience as the tension builds and builds...stunning.
No this is not a truly great film but, if you liked Scream and any of the other ironic teen horror flicks, this ...

Advantages: quite a good plot Disadvantages: gore, not exactly top class acting
I watched this film as a recommendation from a friend-some friend! The film starts off quite interestingly-a student on his way to France for a school trip has a premonition that the plane will explode after take off. He becomes rowdy and ends up with himself and a five others being thrown off the plane before it takes off. Guess what happens then! Yes-it explodes! I thought it was then going to be about how this student has premonitions. Well it ... ...have cheated death and that the grim reaper will come and have another go. I wont say anything else apart from the rest of the film has a very high gore factor!
the cast are a bunch of unknowns, including that funny guy from 'American Pie' whose name I fail to remember. It is quite a cleverly done film and the plot is not as obvious as it first appears and needless to say, the ending leaves plenty of room for the impending sequel. ...
